charges. still, she claims the text messages group her background makes her a target. >> when i read those text from the police officers, that isn't essentially the mentality they have come at that i am a domestic terrorist. >> the anti-arab anti-muslim biases demonstrated in the targeting of her is first and foremost inaccurate because she's not an arab/american but also reminiscent of how law enforcement treats our communities as all the same, all terrorists, all potentially violent. >> the executive director of care san francisco says they are concerned about the antioch police department texting scandal but also continuing stereotypes of arabs and muslims. after years of fighting surveillance at mosques in the travel ban, they are concerned that the per trail of muslims nationally affec law enforcement locally. >> we have worked a long time to

disentangle state, federal, local law enforcement, because state law enforcement tells us we are different. stories like this one, this targeting, what it shows us is that we may not be that different at all. >> she says she is not anti-police but faces harassment from people think that she is. she now plans to file a lawsuit against the antioch police department. >> if we don't change it, who will? >> a santa clara councilmember made his first court appearance today in a perjury case involving the 49ers come at the arraignment was postponed until may 3, and is accused of lying under oath about sharing confidential documents about the 49ers with the team and with the local media outlet. >> when you leak a confidential report to the target of that report, you have taken sides against santa clara county. >> becker and his attorney

bill. >> it is something we pay our taxes for, that these streets should be drivable without any hazards that is why city officials are encouraging anyone who sees a pothole in oakland to be proactive and report it right away to oak 311 amid this potholed blitz. >> [indiscernible] four fixing our potholes. >> new developments appeals court has overturned barclays ordinance banning natural gas lines in a new construction. it was a first of its kind ban in the country aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. barclays 2020 measure required new homes and commercial buildings that use entirely electrical lines, unless it could be constructed without natural gas piping. the day, the appeals court in san francisco ruled it conflicted with federal laws on energy efficiency. >> with more than 10,000 total

members of the santa clara county community expensing homelessness, leaders say they need funding to find solutions to end the crisis. today, the county received millions from the federal government to continue its mission of getting people housed in the south bay. dustin dorsey has the details. >> santa clara county continues to innovate solutions to help end of the homelessness crisis. today, the united states department of housing and urban development made their investment towards that goal. >> decades of underinvestment in housing and services have created a very tall and steep mountain to climb, but we have in fact begun climbing that mountain together. >> santa clara county received $11,000,109,104 in grant money and 51 stability housing vouchers to continue work addressing unsheltered homelessness. since 2020, the county connected more than 10,000 people with permanent housing but the work is not done. >> despite the success, there are still thousands of people experiencing homelessness in our community, and tens of thousands

more who are at risk of being pushed into homelessness. this funding will help us do more. >> the money will go towards a variety of supportive services and outreach programs like $2.1 million towards 54 households in the community currently under construction, and $5.4 million allocated toward expanding the destination home climate engagement services to serve more than 800,000 household's across the county. >> our county has been strong leading with the lived experience, and there are groups of people who are formally and currently homeless who are out in the encampments every single week engaging alongside the more traditional outreach teams and helping people to get out of the streets and have the basic essentials that they need to survive. >> with this funding, the mayor of san jose helps the region can continue to restore hope to many in the community. >> what we are here to celebrate is an incredible partnership across levels of government and including our nonprofit partners

show up, not widespread as we had ford's 8:00, the north facing showers tonight at 11:30 around the east heading towards the south bay very spotty in nature going into tomorrow morning. i will let you know how long and how much rain we are talking about coming right up. >> thank you. sounds good. in mendocino county sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl who has been identified as ruby sky monta longo. her uncle found her body saturday morning in an empty field and cabello after she did not come home friday night. during the investigation of the detectives learned the victim had been hanging out with a 15-year-old girl and they believe that 15-year-old girl killed her. she has now been arrested and booked into juvenile hall on a murder charge. >> in oakland, the search is on for them and who broke into a home and sexually assaulted a person inside. police say it happened around 3:00 wednesday morning as the men entered the home through an open window, about a block off piedmont avenue.
