washington. lindsay good morning. good morning, rhiannon . fox news may have settled the dominion case, but it's facing another lawsuit from another voting machine company that could be even more expensive. this morning fox news legal trouble stemming from the 2020 election appear to be far from over. even after the networks groundbreaking settlement with dominion voting systems, which accused fox of recklessly airing baseless claims that its machines were rigged against former president trump. it is the largest defamation settlement amount that i've heard of. by a factor of several fold smartmatic, a different voting machine company has filed a similar defamation lawsuit against fox for $2.7 billion significantly more than the 1.6 billion dominion was seeking. dominion and fox settled yesterday for nearly half that amount, just as the trial was about to start dominions lawyer says bringing the case to an end means bringing the trauma to an

end for dominion employees opening statement i was going to talk about one employee who has had to deal with changing gyms because of harassment by people who believe the lies who went to a doctor's appointment. with a new doctor was sitting in a hospital gallon and the doctor saw that you worked for dominion said. oh you work for dominion, the company that stole the election. they were going to come into court and relive all this again. so today was a very good day for dominion for their employees. the historic settlement keeps fox news stars like tucker carlson and laura ingram from having to testify about what they said on air. disturbing irregularities have been found. in a statement, fox news said. we acknowledge the court's rulings finding certain claims about dominion to the false this settlement reflects foxes continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards. critics of the settlement note it does not require fox news to acknowledge the election falsehoods on air to its audience. but dominion isn't finished. it's also suing former trump attorneys rudy giuliani and sidney powell, as

damage for the building behind it. and it was crushed and totally gone. but again now that matters with human life at stake , witnesses say the four story parking garage pancaked without warning, sending cars, cement and people crashing down to the basement. authorities evacuated nearby buildings, including a dormant neibo pace university as rescuers sent a robotic dog and drones into the unstable building streaming back images in real time. the images inside are catastrophic garage worker was killed, but five others survived. sources say. one survivor fell from the second story down to the first and walked away. we heard a big boom. everyone was scared. everyone was everyone thought that was the last time being alive. show the parking garage had 64 violations since 1976 in 2003. the building was cited as hazardous after inspectors found

here is a b cs injury of fuji. this morning, the supreme court appears skeptical about whether to expand religious accommodations for workers. the justes heard arguments in the case of gerald growth of former postal worker who's an evangelical christian. he was disciplined after skipping his sunday shifts to observe the sabbath by law, employers cannot discriminate based on religion unless that religious accommodation causes the employer undue hardship. but even the conservative justices had questions about how that undue hardship can be quantified . how do we apply it to a situation where you have to? pay new workers where you have to go short shifted the postal service's graphs. absences created a significant burden on its operations and co workers eventually resigned. justice barrett voice concerned about how far religious accommodations could go, you might have many religious people in a workplace seeking the same accommodation.
