being described as an associate in pleasanton up at 580 was attempting to stop someone from stealing. he was then shot and later died. witnesses tell police there was some sort of struggle which led to the shooting. details about where the shots were fired and if this associate was on any sort of security team have not yet been released. pleasanton police say that suspects were seen driving from the store after the shooting. officers caught up with them. it ended with east oakland. we know a man was detained along with a woman. there nissan pathfinder ended up being towed. no confirmation for police about the parents current status or whether they were arrested and charged. the radio call details a car chase that happened after shots were fired at a home depot on 580 along johnson drive read >> we are in pursuit. requesting chb at foothill. >> this is a red nissan pathfinder.

our abc 7 news reporter has what else we know. amanda. the home depot says the victim is an associa of the company, not specied exactly in what capacity, but the pleasanton pd says he was trying to stop a theft at the store. this was right off of 5 -- 580 off of pleasanton's johnson drive. he was shot and died. witnesses say that following the shooting, a man and woman were later detained in a separate location. this was over and oakland after a car chase. witnesses at the home depot say he was trying to stop someone from stealing, and a struggle followed. then there was a shooting. one pleasanton -- when pleasanton pd arrive, they found the man bleeding. however, details about whether the man was on any sort of security team have not yet been released at this point. pleasanton police say the suspects were then seen driving

attracting and retaining teachers. they want to increase their salaries by 23% across the board. instead, they are offering increases for teachers at different stages in their careers. that would be less or a first-year teacher and up to 20% for the more tenured teachers and staff. it is called a structured salary increase. the union opposes this. >> the district is providing structured salary increases. only tenured teachers and teachers with a lot of experience will benefit from this. our newer teachers who are the lowest paid in the county will not benefit from this. when we see rising costs of housing and food and just the cost of living, a 3.5% will not retain or track educators. teachers can't the bay area.
