happening in the city. the tenderloin district is getting additional love and attention. this is coming from residents. today was the kickoff to i love tenderloin week started by residents and community partners. locals pressed the -- local spiffed up the streets today. neighborhood groups and residents will show off the hidden and lesser-known gems in the neighborhood all week long. that includes local entertainment. restaurants, bars and cultural experiences. tenderloin residents what you to experience it all for yourself. pg&e says power is restored to all but a few remaining customers. that is after an outage and a san francisco that started earlier this week. a fire in an underground transformer vault knocked out electricity for thousands on wednesday night. there are now 80 customers still without power but pg&e expects to have it restored at 11:00 tonight.

in the east bay negotiations between the oakland unified district and teachers continued today. marathon talks this weekend have not reduced results. both sides say they are trying to avoid a possible teacher strike. with less than a month left in the school year. oakland teachers have been working without a contract since october. the district is offering2% says tqueseaerwo extra two hours a week and it would only be given to certified teachers, not for all positions. coming up next, the future of first republic bank. the fdic considering a takeover as well as its from big ranks to buy the san francisco based lender. celebrating t ul the annual community festival raising funds for school music programs. >> temperatures continue to tumble through tomorrow. have a storm heading our way.
