and now the white house has rolling out new tracking biden admistrio says it's taking new action to manage the surge of migrants at the southern border as title 42 comes to an end tonight. a new policy will require migrant families seeking asylum to be subjected to home curfews and gps monitoring, while immigration officials determine whether they should be deported under title 42 authorities could expel migrants based on covid concerns. now, with those restrictions being lifted, officials have seen a major uptick in border crossings. failure to properly address issues of unlawful immigration at our border. bleeds into our communities throughout the state. homeland security has predicted 18,000 migrant apprehensions per day. but the head of u. s border patrol is now downplaying that number saying i don't expect us to have the 17 to 18,000. some people predicted. we are making it very

good morning. good morning, rhiannon santos is vowing to fight the federal criminal charges against him here at home as he faces a different charge today in another country. this morning. congressman jorge santos is out on bail after pleading not guilty to 13 federal counts, including wire fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds. the reality is it's a witch hunt. prosecutors claim santos used campaign funds on personal expenses, including to buy designer clothes. he's also accused of filing false unemployment claims, collecting $24,000 in benefits during the pandemic, even though he had a $120,000 a year job at an testament firm. why would you apply for unemployment benefits when you had a job making $120,000 a year? rachel this is part of my defense, inaccurate information. and i will get to clear my name. santos famous for lying about his resume, is also charged with making false statements to congress. in his financial disclosures. at least

authorities have now agreed to a temporary extradition of your hand vandersloot to face prosecution in the u. s. for the alleged commission of the crimes of extortion and fraud stemming from holloway's disappearance. in 2005, it's fairly extraordinary for another country to temporarily give up a prisoner. to the to the united states, it would have taken a fair amount of negotiation between us authorities and peruvian authorities. vandersloot a dutch nationals from aruba, is currently serving a 28 year sentence in peru for another crime. the murder of stephany flores, who was strangled five years to the day after holloway disappeared. vandersloot confessed to killing flores. abc is john kenyans later caught up with him outside prison confession unwillingly. can you tell us that vandersloot now 35 never faced charges in holloway's disappearance? her body was never found after months of searching, and aruban judge declared her dead in 2006

. he spoke to abc news did you kill natalee holloway holloway had traveled to aruba from alabama on high school graduation trip. was last seen leaving a bar with vandersloot but never made it home or parents immediately went to aruba to search for her. i know in my heart that that we are going to find natalee just feel like i have to be out there looking us prosecutors say vandersloot demanded $250,000 from the holloways in exchange for information that would lead them to her remains. they wired him. $25,000 prosecutors claim he then knowingly took them to an incorrect area where he claimed her remains were located. now knowing that vandersloot will be facing those charges in the us, holloway's mother says it has been a very long and painful journey, but the persistence of many is going to pay off. together we are finally getting justice for natalie. vandersloot should be
