they since the shooting which was last thursday afternoon around 2:00. according to police, he went into a home on cassie and drive, shot his ex and her boyfriend and left the five-year-old boy alone. boyfriend remains hospitalized in critical condition. we are told the shooter did work for the college of san mateo and in response, the school says they have increased security on campus out of an abundance of caution. >> we believe he does have ties to the bay area, to the vacaville area. he does have relatives that are local. all of those avenues are being explored. >> hayward police ask if you have seen him, did not approach him. instead, call your local authorities. while this was not a random

now heading to san francisco to help fight the opioid epidemic. yesterday the city attorney announced a settlement with walgreens that stems from a lawsuit that accused the pharmacy of failing to effectively regulate the dispensing of opioids at pharmacies. >> that were more concerned with profit than following their legal obligations. they did not give their pharmacists time to conduct due diligence, pressuring the pharmacists to fill, fill, fill. jobina: a federal court walgreens substantially contributed to the opioid crisis and created a public nuisance in san francisco. walgreens responded in quote, walgreens disputes liability and does not admit fault in the agreement. reggie: is planning to rally outside san francisco's laguna honda hospital, demanding no more patients be transferred or discharged. the city run nursing home lost

during her recovery, four house democrats have called for her to resign. as reported, she is planning to retire at the end of her term. jobina: mayor's of san francisco, oakland and san jose are making a push for continued state funding to address the homelessness crisis. they are part of the california big-city mayors group, representing the state's 13 largest cities. they went to sacramento to urge the governor to dedicate $2 billion a year in ongoing funding to the homeless housing assistance and prevention grant program. they also want 1.5 billion dollars to project home key which turns vacant buildings into housing. >> it is critical for funding to go directly to the big cities, directly to the cities that are impacted by homelessness. >> the most recent round of funding will be used to add new shelter beds, provide case management for people getting into housing, to create a new
