we go in closer and it is our inland valleys brightening up. you see the solid bank of low clouds. the peninsula over to the bayshore, 55 in oakland. 57 in fremont. low 50's in the north bay where we have the blanket of fog from mount tam. 60's arriving by noon time. plenty of sunshine. at the coast, it is going to remain gray and windy. upper 70's throughout the afternoon inland but we drop off throughout the 4:00 and 5:00 hour. the breeze is going to keep us cool today around the bayshore. we will talk about the rest of the weekend and week ahead, coming up. liz: investigators are trying to figure out happened after an officer shot and killed a man after a standoff. it started on the market on bosworth street just after 2:00 p.m. yesterday. san francisco police responded to reports of a man entering a home with a gun. it ended 3.5

officers firing on the suspect. brian was on the scene that has more details. >> a three hour standoff near san francisco's glen park neighborhood friday ended with san francisco police shooting and killing a man. officers say the man was armed with a gun when he entered a store. a person inside the store called 911. >> we were trying to negotiate. we were trying to negotiate a peaceful resolution. the amount of information at this time is preliminary. >> our media partners and say employees reported the man lived above the store. police told the standard the man was carrying alcohol and snorted cocaine before reaching for his gun. that is when officers opened fire. >> a lot of the attention is focused on that street corner where most of the officers and investigators remain. multiple different agencies are on scene including the san francisco district attorney's office. >> every few minutes, it sounded like they were asking him to

come outside with his hands up and he did not. onon includinglmost e moment gunfirerupted. vy stapid succession. and that was it. knowing what is going down. >> she says she has lived in this neighborhood for several years but lately has been growing concern. >> it has been insane how much has gone on. my parents have had their catalytic converter stolen twice. people are always coming down the street around the corner constantly trying to break into cars, having cars stolen. >> sfpd is not releasing the name of the man. this is the department first shooting this year. >> in the spirit of accountability and transparency, the san francisco police

department will be hosting a townhall meeting to disclose as much information as we can from this incident. liz: new ties with a security firm after their guard shot and killed a man last monthhe m g into a physical dispute with the guard over suspected shoplifting. according to our media partner the ceo of keenum group protective services received a call about the decision last week. walgreens did not comment. the district attorney is not filing criminal charges against the guard. today in half moon bay, a public summit will be held to address how the community can improve the lives of farmworkers. this comes nearly four years -- four months after the tragic shooting of two farms in half moon bay. the summa aims to shed light on some of the challenges farmworkers face including access to clean water and health care.

it will be held today at the boys and girls club of the co-side event center. residents of the royal marine county town of bolinas are rallying for a new post office. the rally starts at noon on brighton avenue. the town has been without a post office for nearly three months. after a dispute between the usps and landlord of the building. residents have had to drive between 20 and 40 minutes to get there mail and packages. usps tells abc 7 they are actively looking for a permanent location but residents are concerned that could take years. caltrans will close a portion of highway 37 for straight -- smart train track repairs. the closure will be an 11 mile stretch. crews will work on a railroad racing on the how -- highway. caltrans says those traveling plehoive in nowill county are not looking forward to the congested traffic. >> it is already a mess as it

is. 21 and highway 12 are going to become nightmares. liz: caltrans says about 47,000 cars travel highway 37 every day. repairs will last through midday on sunday. now to a reminder that fire season is on its way. cal fire crews quickly contained a wildfire not far from the monastery in napa county. they are staying on the scene to mop up hotspots. yosemite national park officials are bracing for more flooding as snow continues to melt. the river rose to the bottom of the parks swinging bridge on thursday. officials say there is a high possibility roads will flood again and will have to close. the river is expected to reach flood levels at 12.5 feet by early monday. ass dbling on hislsas she appead

analytics shows super bowl 50 brought more than $68 million in direct business travel spending. estimates the game in 2016 triggered more than $14 billion in consumer spending. a report commission last year for the super bowl in l.a. estimated on average, visitors in town would spend $200 to $300 a day. starting tonight, streets in san francisco will be closed ahead of beta breakers on sunday. officials say people should expect delays throughout the city. it features competitive and recreational runners as well as costume participants and groups. the race starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at the great highway. bart will run special service tomorrow morning ahead of the race. how is the weather going to be? we know people often dress in very little during this race. lisa: typical low clouds and fog

helping out the runners. the real hard-core runners like that kind of weather where it is cool, temperatures in the 50's throughout the morning hours and gray skies. not one of those unusual hot days ahead. we do have a slight warming trend the next few days. it is not going to last very long and it is not going to be widespread. you can see that the gray will be mainly along the coast once again today as we clear it back. it is already beginning to burn off the fog. inland valleys, it has been sunny and parts of the north bay. a few peaks at the airport, but overall, the fog from the penance led the bayshore is going to be slow to pull back. as we look at the airport, you notice we have a thick blanket of low clouds and fog from oakland with temperatures in the low 50's in san francisco, mid-50's here in oakland.

still some cloud cover in the southbay and lake tahoe, mid and upper 50's. you can see the snow on the mountains. low 70's today and tomorrow. scattered thunderstorms more widespread. 57 in napa. looking at upper 50's in our inland valleys. this is san rafael getting in the partly sunny conditions. the clouds clearing throughout the morning hours today right to san francisco holding at the coast. cloudy, gusty winds at the shoreline. mild inland. temperatures flirting with 80 degrees and warming back up temporarily sunday. monday looks to be our warmest day. the winds kicking up to 30 miles per hour. barely at 60 downtown. the winds all the way through the delta as high-pressure is situated to the north and west of us and bringing us that breeze as it continues to slide to the south. we are warming up especially inland. monday is our warmest day.
