national directory listed big box stores like walmart and target were consumers could go and drop off the plastic for recycling. that is actually recycled and the results surprised even us. as you mentioned, are already having an impact. over the past 6 months abc news has been investigating how plastic bags are recycled in america. months later, late at night and let us hear. country.st incinerators in the resulting this morning at walmart and target being dropped from a national online directory a plastic bag and film recycling until the directory can confirm the banks are being recycled and not landfilled or incinerated. in december, abc news teamed up depositing 46 trackers and pins labeled for plastic bag recycling at walmart and target stores across the country.

why is it important to you to be able to share your culture through the recipes? >> it's important for me to have this platform to make asian cuisine just as exciting and accessible is your typical pantry foods. >> all right. what we gonna make? >> we are making my viral beef and broccoli recipe today. your favorite. >> it is. you can have a special twist to it? >> always a little razzle-dazzle. this is made to be a quick weeknight meal. something easy to throw together. >> those students over there at >> work with our meat first. we want to get this marinating. this is her typical asian ingredients. once you have this on hand at the best part is the world is your oyster. in the moisture, walking in all the flavor. we have some oyster sauce, soy sauce, white pepper, ground ginger and garlic. this is going to punch a lot of simple ingredients but, they do not taste basic at all.

>> does it take time to marinate? >> ideally you want to marinate about 30 minutes. no man should do is have this marinating as i prepare the sauce. i'm gonna mix us up. i like to use a little chopstick and get it in there and get it nice and messy. sometime user hand too. we will do that today for tv purposes. we will have our meat marinating for 30 minutes while we prepare our sauce. this is what it's gonna look like when it's done marinating. you will see the flare verse in there. our sauce is prepared already. the beauty of it is it's good to be a lot of same agreements you have those stable pantry ingredients, the world, you can make any recipe. what were gonna do here, the secret is we have a broccoli we have to cook the meat first. i'm getting excited. i think were a little hungry

just want to get there. we have to make it first. into our walk. it's only steaming hot. our secret here is with the marinated meat we want have a nice color. you're gonna hear it. you want to hear that sizzle. i'm just gonna spread it then into a nice even layer. we want to get that beautiful color. you will start to see it cooking around the outside and that's when we will typically this is what it's gonna look like when it's done. beautiful. like i said with our sauce we have it prepared today. the nice part of the sauce there's no way of messing it up. were gonna let it come to a boil. you're gonna pour in your corn starch story and this will thicken it up. like i said, you can't go wrong with it. all the flavors are in the sauce. so measure it out perfectly and that's all you need to do. >> that's it? thicket it up to the beautiful
