weekend. businesses say it was not the summer kickoff they hoped for. zach fuentes explains why. this is a destination for people in other parts of the bay and a lot farther. quick france to santa cruz. quest santa cruz is famous all over the world. course i want to college out here. course of business that might have seemed nearly impossible when high surf made the beach look like this. now with recovery well underway, many businesses had high hopes for this alone the more -- along the memorial day weekend. this is usually a lucrative time. people tend to plan their vacations ahead of time and graduations, that really helps with all the graduations, people come here to have dinner and things like that.

newsroom with what this may mean for students. click the california state university system mainly relies on two revenue streams. state funding and tuition. the last time tuition went was six years ago. the cost of most everything has gone up. the class of 2023 never once saw their tuition increase during the four years they were enrolled at any of the cuc's. since 2011 there there's only been one tuition increase and that was a 5% hike back in 2017. the university system said their expenses continue to go up. fiscal advisors represented all 23 colleges. it is time to bring more money in. wages have gone up and buildings are in need of upgrades and repair.
