between two groups of people. four children between the ages of one and 17 were shot. five adults from 25 to 65 years of age also hit by bullets. people were taken to nearby hospitals. multiple hospitals showing a frantic crowd and people receiving medical aid. officials set up a family assistance center at the beach where people could reunite with their belongings and loved ones. the hollywood mayor says the area was packed. >> people come to enjoy a holiday weekend on the beach with their families, and to have people in complete disregard of the safety of the public and have an observation with guns with thousands of people around them is beyond reckless. >> the beach has been blocked off while police investigate. >> you have g

ticking after a bipartisan deal to raise the u.s. debt ceiling was announced over the weekend. lawmakers have one week to lock the deal in. president biden and house speaker mccarthy came to a agreement saturday. the legislation will suspend the debt limit until 2025. it will allow the government to freeze the debt they already owe. the agreement will move to congress were members of both parties will vote. if they don't pass the bill, they could miss the june 5 deadline and force the government into strophic default. it increases work requirements for food income programs, something biden and mccarthy had opposing views on. >> that is divided government. that's where we end up. i think it is a positive bill. >> congress is expected to vote wednesday. >> the night a memorial day

memorial park in san jose opened the doors to servicemen and women who joined the community with a special ceremony, a tradition that has taken place more than 100 years. this is one of the largest bay area remembrance events. >> let's talk a bit about the weather. we are not quite done yet with may gray. >> they have a couple more days of may great coming your way. let start with overnight conditions. low clouds, mid-level and high clouds will increase over so at the start of the day it will be great again -- gray again, near the end of may. the clouds will pull back so you can inspect sunny skies in land. temperatures all across the bay area still in the 50's. around noon, more lynch in a brighter skies, temperatures mid-60's and low 60's round of the bay. mid-50's around the coast.
