light. already much busier and the drive times reflect that. tracy to dublin was around 22 minutes for the entire morning commute, it is already at 47. reggie: new details this morning about a stabbing in san francisco's chinatown yesterday. a worker was seriously wounded and attacked at aa bakery and café, the worker has life-threatening injuries. according to sfpd, suspect indicates was detained. that is not confirmed if the suspect was also arrested. investigators are trying to determine a motive. numbers of the community are worried the incident could keep people away from the neighborhood. >> it is one of the go to stops in chinatown, one of the go to bakeries and all of san francisco. the whole community has been working so hard for years to bring foot traffic back into the community to make people feel welcome and safe. reggie: chinatown is one of san

francisco's hardest hit neighborhoods by the pandemic. kumasi: some state lawmakers will be joining business in transit leaders to call for the approval of a $5 billion additional funding for mass transit. they say transit is struggling post-pandemic and immediate action is needed to prevent major service cuts around california. transit agencies have been surviving off of federal money but by 2020 five, many agencies project the extra cash is going to run out. amanda del castillo is live this morning, good morning. amanda: good morning. at a do or die decision point, that is how bart is describing its fate saying the agency needs short-term financial aid to continue functioning. while the agency has thanked the state legislature for restoring $2 billion for transit, and intercity rail capital program,

to pass the measure quickly. some lawmakers are pushing back. we have the details. jobina: a joint effort to win bipartisan support for the debt ceiling deal is evolving in washington, d.c. both the president and speaker are confident that the measure will pass a vote. however, there are early signs the bill might not gain support from some key members from both parties, at least 10 house republicans a reportedly leaning to or planning to vote no on measure, arguing the bill does not cut enough federal spending. democrats are worried cuts in the bill are too deep, covert funding, irs funding, work requirements on food assistance and other government services are looking to get reduced by the measure. tax hikes for the wealthiest americans were big corporations are not included. the house is expected to vote on the measure tomorrow, the bill would then face the senate with a tight june 5 deadline before

reggie: people at the beach on memorial day in hollywood, florida ended up running after shots rang out, injuring nine people including a one-year-old. jobina: the police say the gun fire erupted after some sort of confrontation, a camera captured the chaos as shots rang out with people running to safety, some running to the water to escape gunfire. five adults and four children were shot, a one-year-old among those hit. the police and bystanders treated victims, a spokesperson for the local health care system says all are in stable condition. an eyewitness said he saw several young men fighting in front of the stores lined the boardwalk when one pulled out a gun and started shooting. >> preliminary investigation reveals there was an altercation between two groups that resulted in gunfire.
