will join community leaders to rally for public transit. people will gather in san francisco and oakland at 11 this morning to mourn what they're calling the economic downfall of public transit. it's in response to the lack of funding provided by the state legislature for last week. state senator scott wiener called on governor gavin newsom to bail out public transit. newsom didn't include funding for transit operations in this year's budget on the peninsula. fair season is here at the 89th san mateo county fair opens today. organizers are billing it as a little bit of everything for everybody from livestock to carnival rides, farmworkers are being honored and a brand new exhibit is expected to be very popular with the crowds. admission is $20 at the gate or $15 if you buy your ticket online and the fair runs through june 11th. and frances ding lawson is here with us this weekend with a look at the forecast. hey, frances. hey, liz. >> it's a great day to head out to the fair or also to head out surfing, see some surfers out there right now in santa cruz. live camera shot temperatures in
