camera. sandhya: dan and ama, we are looking at scattered showers developing as we speak. make sure you have the umbrellas by the door because some of you will need them tomorrow morning. let's look at live doppler seven. we are seeing showers in some parts of our viewing area you will notice around lexington hills, the summit, the santa cruz mountains, around coyote, highway 10 one heading into morgan hill. a shower just passed through the east bay in the past hour. this is how it's going to be as this area of low pressure, level 1 storm on our abc7 news impact scale spinster parts of southern california, we will continue to see the wraparound moisture. we saw numerous lightning strikes. here is what you can expect. tomorrow morning, wet roadways. 9:00 you will notice showers beginning to move across the bay area. that continues around noon time. well things might be a little bit quiet, can't rule out the possibility of an isolated showers. if thunderstorms developed, we are looking at the possibility of hail. so it's a 1.

tomorrow, gusty winds and the chance of thunder. dan: now to those new details out fremont, a woman and her two children found dead inside her home. police and the were firsed out to the victoria park apartment complex around 1:00 today. lauren martinez is piecing together the latest on the investigation. reporter: a suspicious death investigation underway in fremont. police say it monday afternoon, police responded to a call at the victoria park apartment complex. in the unit, officers found a woman and two children died. surrounding neighbors were shocked. >> oh my god. oh my god. never imagined that can happen here. reporter: sky 7 captured the heavy police presence. detectives brought several evidence bags outside the home. police say investigators interviewed family members. nearby residents described the

area as a family friendly neighborhood. to hear about this new death investigation involving children was unsettling. >> never seen anything like this before and i have been here this long. reporter: police could not disclose if the victims were related. they said the woman was in her late 20's, and two children were young -- >> i just hate to see that happen. reporter they will work with the coroner's office to identify cause of death. police say it is a self-contained situation and at this time in their investigation, there is no threat to the community. in fremont, lauren martinez, abc7 news. on a story making headlines and why it matters here. tonight, it is more on the surprise flights of migrants into sacramento, now two in recent days, and several flights in recent months around the country. lifornia and massachusetts are taking action.

both friday and today, gups of migrants were transported from the texas border to newexico, then flown to a similar incident took place last september when a similar group of migrants was flown to martha's vineyard. in massachusetts. tonight, the sheriff there is taking misdemeanor or felony and restraints charges be filed. it's not clear who the charges will be filed against, and prosecutors still have to consider the case. florida's governor ron desantis credit for that flight to martha's vineyard. california attorney general rob bonta says he has seen evidence florida might be involved in the transport of migrants to his state. police are interviewing the migrants to see -- to determine if any laws were broken. >> there are 20 more with us in sacramento who need to interview and get facts was represented to them, what they were told, what they believed, what they were

informed, and will identify any violations, and any violations of the -- of civil law. at this point i am not at a place where we could make a legal conclusion. we need to complete our investigation. ama: governor newsom responded on twitter and blasted ron desantis for the flight. he also included a photo of the state's kidnapping law. as this unfolds, the migrants are pending their asylum claims. dan: tonight, we are highlighting a breakthrough in san in a letter obtained by our abc7 news insider, phil matier, j.p. morgan says it is keeping a major conference in the city. reporter jr stone has the details. >> i said thank you j.p. morgan for making the decision having the confidence in the city that we can pull that off as based on their recent experience.

the business community in san francisco after those with j.p. morgan announced in this letter that they will be returning for their health care conference in 2024. this, after a successful conference in january in the city by the bay. it's estimated more than $86 million was brought into san francisco because of the conference, and while organizers say the city was clean and they felt safe, they wrote "one major concern we continue to hear from our clients is the price-gouging and lack of flexibility exhibited by san francisco's hotels during the conference period." >> so we are cut out of the pandemic saying, welcome everybody back, but you better be willing to pay. that puts us in competition with other places like las vegas. that is the downside of it all. j.r.: yes, competition from other cities is strong but the bay area council believes prices

will soften as more conferences come to town. that said, jim believes officials must work with hotels on this. >> ultimately it's up to the hotels to decide what they want to do, but in their own interest long-term, if they want to see this convention, particular convention here. they are going to need to moderate their prices a little bit. j.r.: san francisco's recent national image fair or not, has been one of shoplifting and unhoused individuals on the streets. this letter, though, is proof of the positive experiences being had here. abc7 news insider phil matier says the conversation is now focusing on the cost of doing business in a city like san francisco. >> san francisco has always been a fun place to have a convention, it's also been an expensive place to have a convention. the real question is going to be given remote work and given the changing economy, can it continue to be both?

j.r.: he says j.p. morgan's conference we have also been more expensive because of all the events that were held at hotels, not the convention center. from a personal standpoint, it's not a shock that. vapee morgan is staying. i have covered three convention-type events in the last year, and each time people told me how impressed they were with our city. jr stone, abc7 news. dan: which is very encouraging to hear. this good news about the conference comes, though, as union square faces another the ownership group behind two big hotels has stopped making payments on its loans and will turn over the hotels to the lender they are walking away. park hotels and resorts which owns parc 55 san francisco payments on a $725 million loan. in a presentation to investors parc and resorts said sales significantly down.

their concerns include record levels of office vacancy, a weaker than expected convention calendar through 2027, and ongoing concerns about safety and security. >> it to the urban environment in general that has become the narrative, right, that everyone is speaking about. it is slowly turning around a lot of market it has begun to turn around in san francisco, but not fast enough. dan: san francisco mayor london breed says hotels will remain open and continue to keep workers employed. ama: bay area restaurants returned with nothing after the james beard restaurant and chef awards, this is the first time since 2016 that no bay area restaurant won. according to the san francisco chronicle, only 19 restaurants were semifinalists, and only three made it to the finals. last year one of them won for best chef california. dan: tomorrow in the southbay, we could see action to address

the fentanyl crisis in santa clara county. the board of supervisors will vote on a spending plan for nearly $6 million in funding from the state's recent or. settlement. a leader says tha the funds are urgently needed.41 people have y fentanyl in the county this year, with the 15 to 30-year-old age group being hardest hit. at this point, $1.5 million is slated to go towards expanding substance use treatment at schools. $1 million would increase the slots available to young people who need residential $800,000 to mcmartin archon available at schools and public transit and community centersm. ama: mothers in colorado are demanding governor polis signed an executive order to ban guns and hold a statewide gun buyback thousands of women participated

in a sitting on the steps of the state capitol today. . the move may have caught the attention of women across the nation including, thousands of women who participated in today's event. many stood in silence and read the names of people who lost their lives to gun violence. one colorado teacher said she felt compelled. >> a feel it's incredibly vulnerable in my school building because of easy access to guns. it is too easy for someone to obtain a weapon of mass distraction and then to kill innocent people. ama: governor polis says the ban on guns is unconstitutional, and supports the right to bear arms. in san francisco, a rally was held by moms demand action on the golden gate bridge. they are calling for stricter gun laws to keep children safe in schools. . dan: nevada is locked in a last-minute session that could determine the fate of the oakland a's moved to a ballpark. their lawmakers have until tonight.

the bill asks lawmakers to approve $380 million in tax financing for a $1.5 billion ballpark. both houses of the nevada legislature need to approve the bill before it can even get to a final vote. it's unlikely that happens by midnight tonight. the ballpark's plan could be revived beyond midnight by way of a special legislative session, but it is unknown if there is support for that. ama: an urgent plea from some of san francisco's most vulnerable, the fear of cuts to hiv services. dan: plus, apples revolutionary revealed today and the promise of how it could change our lives. ama: and some of san francisco'

ama: abc 7 is proudly celebrating the lgbtq+ community all year long, and especially during pride month in june, but today there was pushback on the capitol over a well-known drag performer. sister roma was invited to the capitol today. the state representative was asked to withdraw his invite, but he denied. she is part of a large group of queer and trans activists, they call themselves nuns due to their devoted community service. the dodgers baseball team recently uninvited roma a ballgame after april complained the group marks the catholic church. religious groups held a rally backing those complaints. they refer to the activists as an offensive group of men who dress in drag as man's. >> it actually. >> hurts my feelings to think

that people think that i hate them or that i am marking them, especially something that they dear to their heart. the people in better to beone of recognized as part of this year's pride mo celebs. and abc7 is also a proud sponsor of the san francride parade. you can watch it live on sunday, june 25 right here, and on our streaming tv app. dan: dan: building a better area means extra focus on improving your health, and it could be the end of the road for one nonprofit providing hiv and aids services. as reporter tim johns explains, it could hurt some of the most vulnerable people in the communit tim: in san francisco, time is running out for one local organization. >> we gave notice that unless things change, june 30 will be the last date. tim: it is a nonprofit that has been in the city since the 1990's. for decades they have provided

hiv-aids services some of the vulnerable in our community, but at that of the month, that could be changing. after losing grant funding, they say after 30 years, they will have to stop their assistance. >> we are the only agency in san francisco that does all our services in spanish, english, and portuguese. essentially what it means is portuguese speakers will be knocked out of services for hiv prevention throughout the entire city. tim: edward morales is the group's executive editor. he says well they will still be able to provide services, the organization and the people they serve will take a hit. morales worries many patients will simply fold out of the system and not get critical care that they need. >> 40% of the people to serve are diagnosed with hiv-aids and then others are at high risk or contracting hiv-aids. tim: the organization is not alone eit

on monday afternoon the san francisco aids foundation hosted a rally outside city hall. there, they called on leaders to find a variety of hiv-related programs. >> this is a life or death issue. we can't wait any longer for funding or resources to protect. tim: our most vulnerable members of the community. tim: san francisco department of health says this year they are maintaining their funding for hiv related programs. morales argues, though, that with the cost of treating someone with the disease, often it is better to treat problems before they arise. >>. >> if you start accumulating that, then you say, penny wise and dollar foolish. tim: in san francisco, tim johns, abc7 news. dan: it is the photo being shared across the internet tonight apple's newest bet on tech the long rumored vision pro virtual reality headset it is something. the ceo showed them off that today's developers conference in cupertino. the price is expected to start at $3500.

the last couple of hours, you will see the showers that came through parts of fremont and moved down towards the santa cruz mountains. that around moisture is in association with this low-level system coming of the southern california post. you could cease numerous lightning strikes. fortunately we have seen it rain accompanying the storms. let's talk about juvenile rainfall, it's not that rare in the bay area -- let's talk about june rainfall, it's not that rare in the bay area. we are expecting some wet weather tomorrow. here is a live view from our san jose camera. . hit or miss showers through tomorrow. chance of we are looking for the chance of showers lingering into wednesday and below average temperatures for the rest of the week. yesterday we had low 90's in no -- in inland valleys. a good 20 degrees drop as the

wind changed and cloud cover increased, 50's and 60's right now, it is a little muggy outside. we are calling this a 1 on our exclusive abc7 storm impact scale on a it is breezy to words rio vista, and guests after 20 miles per hour. hour-by-hour, tomorrow morning will be breezy. the winds will pick up, you are looking at 25 to 35 miles per hour winds. that will keep that muggy field going. 7:00 tomorrow morning in the east bay, the santa cruz mountains and the southbay getting some wet weather. those showers wrap back around. can't rule out a thunderstorm so keep that in mind. right now it is over the north bay. isolated showers continuing tomorrow night and possibly lingering into the first half of your wednesday. rainfall totals -- this model is projecting anywhere from nothing measurable, to about seven
