clearing public sidewalks is nothing new in the city. last year round planters were installed in the castro to deter open-air drug dealing, and these boulders were installed in clinton park as a way to block tents on the sidewalk. but the boulders were later removed by public works at the request of neighbors who paid for them because they were getting threats by those who disagreed with the idea. as for these planters, officials say public works suprt neighbors efforts to green and beautify their communities. our main concern is to ensure that an accessible path of travel is maintained and that the planters are well maintained and the planters on harrison appear to meet the standards. so you're not upset by those planters at all? no, no. it's just the way of life. travis is living in a tent near harrison. he says he doesn't blame neighbors for installing these planters. the people are tired of the camp, you know, camping out situation and, you know, it's a blight on the city, so to speak. as far as, you know, personal view. and, you know, people don't want to see it going home every day. harrison street neighbors behind

fundraising efforts have not yet responded to our request for comment. in san francisco, cornell barnard abc seven news. new details in the death of the man known as the unabomber. four anonymous sources say ted kaczynski died by suicide, died at a federal prison. medical center in north carolina. kaczynski was found unresponsive early saturday morning. staff tried to revive him, then transported kaczynski to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. kaczynski was serving a life sentence for mailing a series of homemade bombs around the country from the mid 1970s to the late 90s. he once worked as a math professor at uc berkeley, where two of his bombings took place. a third happened in tiburon, a catastrophic incident in philadelphia this morning. this interstate overpass collapsed, serving a major east coast artery, i-90 five. this is how it started. a tanker truck under the highway

overpass caught fire that caused the northbound direction of the interstate to collapse. the southbound direction is also heavily damaged. preliminary reports indicate a tanker truck carrying gasoline caught fire. there are no reports of injury or deaths in the tahoe area. donner pass road between sugar bowl and truckee is closed and you can see why a boulder tumbled down onto the roadway early friday morning. the chp says to expect the road to be closed for the long term due to significant damage happening tomorrow. highway nine in santa cruz county will be closed. this map shows the specific area at shadow brook road and ben lomond, the highway patrol says the full closure is set to run through june 26th so crews can make road repairs due to a landslide. drivers will be detoured onto glen arborresidents
