news in new york, this is america for this morning. good tuesday morning, everyone. i'm andrew dymburt. good morning to you. i'm rhiannon ally. we want to begin with the historic arrest and arraignment of former president trump now just hours away. he arrived back in florida late yesterday and overnight, a judge issued a ruling about today's arraignment and what the public will be allowed to see and hear. meanwhile, there are questions being raised about securing outside the federal courthouse in miami. abc's justin finch is there. hey, justin, what can we expect today ? hey there, ryan. and good morning. and law enforcement here in miami promising very tight security as violent rhetoric heats up online. ahead of today's historic arraignment . but this morning, a major ruling just hours before a former president trump surrenders to federal authorities in miami on charges that he mishandled classified documents. a judge last night denied a request from media

outlets, including abc news, seeking video and audio access to the hearing. the judge saying a court reporter will provide only transcripts of the proceedings. meanwhile, trump made the rounds on conservative radio outlets saying he will plead not guilty today. i didn't do anything wrong, did nothing wrong. president records act. it's not even a criminal event. there is no criminality here. trump and his supporters have called for protest at the courthouse, slamming the special counsel's indictment, claiming trump is the victim of a double standard at the justice department. law enforcement officials are bracing for potential trouble at the courthouse. miami's mayor says they're preparing for crowds of anywhere from 5000 to 50,000 people. we wanted to ensure the public that we are ready, but according to the police chief, the city does not plan to separate trump's supporters and protesters. others outside the courthouse and if we begin to

see that there's opposing parties will at that time make sure that they're there separated. and the chief declined to say whether metal barricades will be set up. only police tape currently surrounds the courthouse. that's where the freedom speech says trump will be arraigned on 37 counts, alleging he willfully retain highly sensitive documents on the us nuclear program. the military and us vulnerabilities to an attack. prosecutors say he knowingly misled his attorneys and the fbi in an effort to keep some documents despite a grand jury subpoena ordering they be returned and trump will be processed as a criminal defendant. at no time will he be in handcuffs, but he will technically be an fbi custody. he will have his fingerprints taken. they do that electronically. now, no need to ink up his fingers and he will have his mug shot taken, mug shots in the federal system are usually not released. meanwhile one of trump's rivals for the republican nomination, chris christie, claimed last night that if trump is reelected in 2024, his term will only be

about settling scores. he has shown himself, and i think most particularly in his post-presidency, nc, to be completely self-centered, completely self consumed, armed and doesn't give a about the american people. in my view. and meanwhile, sources say trump will unlikely have a full legal team in place in time for today's arraignment. after two of the key lawyers handling his documents, charges resigned last week. rhiannon all right, justin, thank you for that. abc news will bring you live coverage of today's developments from miami on air and on the abc news app. we're now hearing from two people on a tourist boat that capsized in western new york yesterday. one person died, after all, 29 passengers were thrown into the erie canal while the vessel was touring an underground cave. authorities say no one was wearing a life jacket. rescue crews recovered about half the passengers from the 55 degree water. others made it to safety on their own. i went under the water and i was under the water whenever it

fully capsized. but i was on my way back up from being under the water and the boat literally landed on my head when i was under the boat. i mean, complete panic set in because cause i mean, you have this heavy thing over you and it's dark underwater, and you're being underwater under a boat and you can't breathe. the deceased victim, a man in his 60s, was trapped under the boat for about an hour. the attraction will be closed during the investigation . we are learning more about the commuter nightmare on interstate 95 after a busy overpass pass collapsed. the disasters impact could reach far beyond the northeast. this morning, a warning about the us supply chain after this tanker truck crashed that led to the collapse of an overpass on i-95 in philadelphia sunday. it is wholly. the up to 8500 gallons of gasoline.

from what we understand, the tractor and trailer was trying to navigate the curve, lost control of the vehicle, landed on its side and ruptured the tank and ignited the fire. human remains now found in the wreckage. family members confirmed the driver who was killed was 53 year old nathan moody, who leaves behind a girlfriend and a young daughter. crews saying both sides of the overpass will need to be replaced first. the american trucking association says the disruptions are likely to have significant impacts on the supply chain, saying up to 9% of vehicles passing through. that section of highway are commercial trucks, which now face lengthy detours on far smaller roads. you don't realize how much that cripples the city , experts say. although the bridge was listed in good condition, it appears the exposed steel beneath the bridge could not hold up to those fierce flames, burning it up to 1800 degrees. dead deletion of the overpass is expected to be done in just five days, but rebuilding it could take months

its kind announcement app-based food delivery workers in new york city will now be eligible for minimum wage. a change that could have national implications . this is huge and historic for an industry that didn't did not actually high, did not had a basic pay standard in most deliveries, does had to rely on tips as their as their main form of payment for their labor beginning july 12th. app delivery workers will be guaranteed at least $17.96 per hour. and that will increase to $19.96 per hour in 2025. the city estimates new york's 60,000 plus app delivery workers, including those for doordash, grubhub and uber eats, were making on average just over $7 per hour. workers are often spending their own money for the basics to do their job, such as buying their own e-bikes, their own health insurance, their own

are back now with medical news about obesity and the brain. a small new study found that the brain responds to nutrients differently in obese people. researchers found people who were not obese had appropriate stimulation of the brain's reward center in response to food, signaling that they've received food and they no longer need more. but obese people had no reward. center stimulation. so doctors say it shows obesity can actually change how the brain responds to food, pointing to a physiological explanation for why it may be harder for obese people to keep the weight off. we turn now to pat sajak. announcer his retirement standing at the wheel. after 40 years and more than 7000 shows, pat sajak is taking one last spin of the wheel. i'll give the wheel a final spin at 76 year old announcing his retirement, saying, well, the time has come . i've decided that our 41st season, which begins in september, will be my last. it's been a wonderful ride. sajak got his start in radio in chicago in the late 60s. he joined the army and worked on armed forces
