when and why? new information about president biden's three day visit to the bay area. it's not just a campaign stop. we've learned he'll pledge a big cash infusion for one cause tomorrow as he tries to raise money for his campaign coffers. good evening and thanks for joining us. i'm dion lim. this trip is all about numbers, both the amount he can raise and the polling that shows mr. biden faces a tough challenge for the white house. let's take a look right away at those latest polls. less than a week after former president donald trump's indictment on charges involving classified documents, his support among republican voters remained largely unchanged. a quinnipiac university national poll released wednesday shows president biden with a slight lead over trump, 48 to 44%. this is among all registered voters a washington post-abc news poll taken last month had trump leading by six points. now, the quinnipiac poll also asked registered republicans

about their top choice for the gop nomination for president. 53% said they support trump, while 23% favored florida governor ron desantis. both biden and desantis will be in the bay area tomorrow to raise cash and support for their campaigns. abc7 news reporter cornell barnard joins us now with a look at exactly what is on their agenda. hey, cornell. hey, don. yeah, it's all about the money. it'll be a fundraising blitz through silicon valley for president biden starting tomorrow. and florida governor ron desantis won't be far behind. in fact, just miles away from the president. as you can see, there's two helicopters flying. a surprise in the sky over marin county friday as military aircraft flew maneuvers near larkspur ahead of president joe biden's visit to the bay area on monday. biden will visit the lucy evans balanced nature interpretive center in palo alto, where he'll announce $600 million in new investment for climate projects. what the president is going to do is going to emphasize climate

change. he's going to emphasize what the party and what the biden administration has been doing around, quote unquote, green jobs. next, biden will reportedly head to private fundraisersin los gatos at the home of microsoft chief technology officer kevin scott, another in atherton at ventureitalist steve wesley's home, where $6,000 will get you in the door. republican candidate governor ron desantis will be in nearby woodside for his own fundraiser. when he actually holds his fundraiser, he'll only be a couple of miles from where potus from where the president of the united states is at and holding his fundraiser roughly the same time. earlier in the day, desantis will be in the state capital. he's making a point to fly first to sacramento, where the three dozen migrants were sent a few weeks ago. both desantis and biden know networking among donors is everything on the campaign trail. they have to come and punch their ticket here, raise money and meet the influential because it's that network effect that is as important as anything else. and there's no time to lose the

no buildings have been damaged and the cause is under investigation. today's progress comes just as stronger. gusty winds are beginning to blow into the bay area. now, speaking of those winds, we are getting some strong gusts out there right now. take a look. yeah, you certainly can hear it. this video taken at san francisco's aquatic park a little more than an hour ago. howling winds are expected to be the strongest at the coast and on the hills. let's bring in abc7 news meteorologist frances dinglasan to tell us about these weather changes blowing our way. hey, francis. yeah, hi, dion. in fact, you can see here this live shot of the bay bridge toll plaza. the wind is whipping those trees around and the leaves right now check out current surface winds gusting up to 40mph at sfo. very strong winds. also nevado, 37 miles in san francisco, 23. so you notice many areas above 20 miles right now. and the gusts will continue to remain strong overnight.

they usually die down overnight into tomorrow morning, but even tomorrow morning, anywhere from 20 to 30 mile per hour winds. and then in the afternoon, it will pick up again, especially at the coast. that's where we'll see over 30 point raise in san francisco. this does mean cooler temperatures. and i'll have your neighborhood forecast coming up. dion. all right. sounds good. francis thanks. four people are dead after three separate mass shootings over the weekend all took place in locations where people were celebrating. here's abc's jacqueline lee. a juneteenth celebration in willowbrook, illinois, turned violent early sunday morning when officials say at least 20 people were shot. one fatally. two of those who were shot are in critical condition, while others suffered what officials are calling gray's injuries. victims were transported to hospitals across several counties. the motive behind this incident is unclear. then. this is still an active investigation in saint louis. overnight, authorities say multiple people were shot inside an office building where a party was being held.

multiple firearms were recovered at the scene, including ar style rifle pistols, as well as a handgun, which is found in possession of a person of interest who's a juvenile. the victims between the ages of 15 and 19, a 17 year old killed a total of ten victims after apparent gunshot wounds include the deceased. and in washington state, another mass shooting when police say a gunman opened fire at a campground during a music festival. we have casualty as we now can confirm, that there have been two people killed and there are three injured, which includes the shooter, according to the sheriff's office, the suspected shooter walked away from the scene before officers tracked him down. the shooter continued to shoot randomly into the crowd and the suspect was eventually taken into custody. the second day of that, beyond wonderland music festival has now been canceled. jaclyn lee, abc news, new york. in the east bay, rescue crews free the person from a burning car in rodeo during a fiery

crash involving a tanker truck filled with diesel. it happened just after midnight near the willow avenue exit on westbound i-80. the damaged tanker spilled diesel fuel towards two burning cars and lanes of traffic. and you can see there the flames charred two of those vehicles. the the crash shut down. all but one lane of the freeway. first responders say a person was freed from one car. yeah, it's actually amazing that people escaped both of these crashes relatively unharmed. we had one moderate injury that's being transported currently, but there were no fatalities at this time. one person was injured and is expected to be okay. lanes were closed for more than two hours. well, if you have a plan to to trip to tahoe this summer, you may have to adjust your plans. sand harbor state park on the lakeshore in nevada is warning visitors to be prepared for possible park closures.

leaving a colorado home in an unconventional way after breaking in to steal a man's dinner. take a look. video captured by a neighbor shows a bear hanging from a second story window in an attempt to escape this home in steamboat springs. this is crazy. i've never seen this before. after being unable to drop it to the ground, it ends up climbing back into the house and even escapes through a lower floor window before wandering off into the woods. now, the good news is no one was home during the break in, but the owner says the animal did help itself to pork chops. he was planning to have for dinner last night. i mean, i'm just speech. this is wild. i didn't know they could climb like this. what an acrobatic and agile bear. it's kind of impressive and also terrifying. totally. and just the video like to capture that moment. i don't know what i would do if

i saw something like that. yeah, i didn't think it would come into my house if i was an owner, i would be terrified. well, what we're dealing with, there's some kind of strong winds right now. here's live doppler seven and it really pushed all the clouds away, looping over the past few hours. so we have a lot of blue skies over the bay area. here's a live shot from emeryville. but you can see the winds causing some ripples there over the bay and san francisco. it's currently 63, oakland 66, mountain view 70, san jose 72. palo alto, 70 half moon bay, 59 degrees. and this time from mount tam. you can see the camera is bouncing around a little bit from the winds. we had very nice temperatures are warm in santa rosa, 81 and then elsewhere, lots of 70. novato 72 napa, fairfield, 77 concord and livermore in the low 70s and this time from the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see more of the effect of that wind there. so it's going to be blustery again through tomorrow and that means temperatures are going to come down for juneteenth. it will be slightly warmer for

the first day of summer around wednesday and then below average temperatures through next week. in fact, we have a system moving through in the accuweather 7 day forecast that's even going to bring us temperatures well below average right now. check out the winds. they are very strong. i want to show this again, gusting up to 37 in novato, 40 in sfo. so we see these very strong winds all around the bay area and they typically die down overnight. but you'll notice even tomorrow morning they'll still be breezy and then tomorrow afternoon winds will pick up gusts in many areas over 30 miles an hour and then we'll see strongest winds at the beaches and at the higher elevations. so what this means in terms of cloud cover, not much. we'll get some low clouds and some maybe some low clouds around the peninsula coast and parts of the south bay. but then lots of sunshine tomorrow afternoon. but as this cold front moves through overnight and into tomorrow, temperatures will be
