you information about president biden's three-day visit to the bay area. it's not just a campaign stop. he will pledge a cash infusion for one because as he tries to raise money for his campaign. good evening and thank you for joining us, i'm deion lam. this trip is all about numbers, the amount he can raise and the polling that shows president biden faces a tough challenge for the white house. let's take a look at the latest polls, where you can see less than a week after former president trump's indictment, on charges involving classified documents. his support among republican voters remains largely unchanged. a university national poll released wednesday shows president biden with a slight lead over donald trump, 48-42% among registered voters. a poll taken last month had trouble leading by six points.

a poll asked republicans about their top choice for the gop nomination. 53% said they support trump while 23% favored governor ron desantis. biden and ron desantis will be in the bay area tomorrow to raise cash and support for their campaigns. abc 7 news reporter cornell bernard joins us with a look at what is on their agendas. hello. >> hi, it's all about the money and it will be a fundraising blitz through silicon valley for president biden starting tomorrow in florida governor ron desantis will not be far behind, just miles away from the president. a surprise in the sky over county friday as military aircraft flew near clarksburg ahead of president biden's visit to the bay area. on monday he will visit the lucy evans nature interpretive center where he will announce $600 million in new investments for climate projects. >> what the president is going to do is emphasize climate

change, emphasize what the party and administration has been doing around green jobs. >> joe biden will headed to private fundraisers, one at the home of microsoft chief technologyer kevin scott, another in adventuitalist steve wesley's home where $6,000 will get you in the door. republican candidate ron desantis will be in woodside for his own fundraiser. >> when he holds his fundraiser he will be a couple miles from where the president of the united states is at and holding his fundraiser at the same time. >> earlier in the data centers will be in the state capital. >> he is making a point to fly first to sacramento where the migrants were sent weeks ago. >> both no networking donors is everything on the campaign trail. >> they have to punch their ticket, raise money and meet the influentials because it's the network effect that's as important as anything else. >> no time to lose.

the refill airport. fire crews are on scene,ing progress with containment. tol the fire started an hour and a half ago and has burned an acre or so. there is no threat to structures and no reports of injuries but we will bring you updates when we get them. in other developing news, crews are getting the upper hand on a wildfire in napa county. cal fire says the fire is 80% contained. it started friday in pope valley and is burned 103 acres. no buildings have been damaged. the cause is under investigation. today's progress comes as a stronger wind is beginning to blow into the bay area. speaking of the wind, we are getting strong gusts right now. this video taken at san francisco's aquatic park a little more than one hour ago. howling wind is expected to be strongest at the coast and on the hills.

let's bring in abc 7 meteorologist francis to tell us about the weather changes blowing our way. >> here is a live look. you can see the wind whipping tree branches around right now. check out the gusts in the north bay. 41 miles per hour in novato. san francisco, 39. gusting up to 40 at sfo and strong gusts all around the bay area. usually, the wind tends to die down overnight but tonight they will remain strong, well above 20 or 30 miles per hour in some spots and stronger. then tomorrow morning, breezy but in the afternoon it picks up again to over 30 miles per hour and some spots. wind is coming to the northwest, cooler air for tomorrow and then i will have a forecast coming up. >> looking forward to it. thank you. four people are dead after three separate mass shootings over the weekend. all took place in locations where people were celebrating. here is abc's jacqueline lee.

>> a juneteenth celebration in illinois turned violent earned a sunday morning when officials say at least 20 people were shot, one fatally. two of those who were shot were in critical condition while offers -- other suffered grace injuries. victims were transported to hospitals across several counties. >> the motive is unclear and this is an active investigation. >> in st. louis authorities say multiple people were shot inside of an office building where a party was held. >> multiple firearms were recovered including ar style rifle pistols and a handgun, which was found in possession of a person of interest to is a juvenile. >> the victims between 15 and 19, a 17-year-old killed. >> 10 victims suffered apparent gunshot wounds including the deceased. >> in washington state, another mass shooting when a gunman opened fire at a campground during a music festival. >> we have casualties, we can confirm that there have been two

people killed. there are three injured which >> includes the shooter. >>according to the sheriff's office the suspected shooter walked away before officers tracked him down. >> the shooter continued to shoot randomly into the crowd and the suspect was eventually taken into custody. >> the beyond wonderland festival has been canceled. jaclyn, abc news, new york >> in the east bay rescue crews freed a person from a burning car in rodeo during a fiery crash involving a tanker truck filled with diesel. it happened after midnight near the willow avenue exit on westbound i-80. the damage tanker spilled fuel toward two burning cars and lanes of traffic. you can see the flames charred to vehicles. the crash shut down all but one lane of the freeway. first responders say one person was freed from one car. >> it's amazing that people escaped both of these crashes

relatively unharmed. one moderate injury that's being transported but no fatalities at this time. >> one person was injured in expected to be ok. lanes were closed for more than two hours. if you have a trip to tahoe this summer, you may have to adjust your plans. sand harbor state park on the lakeshore is warning visitors to be prepared for possible park closures. there are not enough employees to staff the parks and the chronicle reports 75% of park positions in the tahoe region are filled. also, dl bliss state park on lake tahoe southwestern shoreline is closed at least until the end of august for a replacement of the parks waterline. just ahead, pride was on a roll in oakland. we will check out one event that had people cycling, skating, scooting to celebrate pride month. and

>> june is pride month and we continue celebrate the lgbtq+ community at abc 7. in the east bay the oakland lgbtq community center teamed up with chrome and bike east bay for a true colors pride run. people of all ages and abilities were encouraged to join the party ride along oaklands lake marriott. several dozen cy participated. a reminder, the san francisco pride parade is one week away and abs a oud sponsor. watch the parade live on ju fifth on abc 7 and our abc 7 bay area streaming tv app. neighbors and friends field the -- filled the streets of berkeley for the 36th annual juneteenth celebration. music, food, community and family filled the street and south for the. vendors and local organizations are out there reaching out to people attending the event. the festival follows a week of events in the city commemorating

leaving a colorado home in an unconventional way after stealing a man's dinner. video captured by a neighbor shows a bear hanging from a second-story window in an attempt to escape this home in steamboat springs. after being unable to drop to the ground, it is very high up, the bear climbs back into the house. it escapes through a lower floor window before wandering off into the woods. fortunately, no one was home during the break-in but the owner says the animal helped it self to the porkchops he was planning to have for dinner that night. i do not blame the bear for targeting the porkchops. >> i would break-in and eat them. >> i'm a pregnant lady, i would break-in and eat anything. just not so violently, i guess, through a window. i am well fed. >> in the bay area we are getting so much wind. more to, and we usually get a

break, but not tonight. here's a look at live doppler seven. clear skies around the bay area. you can see in the live shot from emeryville, the ripples from the wind. san francisco 63, oakland 65. mountain view, san jose and palo alto and the low 70's and half moon bay at 59 degrees. from mount tam, you notice the camera is shaking. santa rosa has been a warm spot, above 80. currently at 80. napa, fairfield, concord in the low to mid 70's in livermore at 69. you can see the wind whipping the treetops right now at the bay bridge toll plaza. it is blustery again and then even cooler for tomorrow, juneteenth. slightly warmer for the first day of summer on wednesday, but then we are going to see below average temperatures through next weekend. temperatures will tumble toward the end of the workweek. here is a look at surface wind. strong in the north bay, in novato, 41 miles per hour. gusting up to 40 at sfo, so the

wind will remain breezy overnight and then tomorrow, it will pick up again. could see gusts over 25 or 30 miles per hour tomorrow afternoon and because the wind is coming from the northwest, this brings cooler air for us. it will be cleared tonight in the north bay, temperatures will be dropping into the upper 40's this evening, tomorrow morning. santa rosa dropping 47. around the bay, look for low to mid 50's. more cloud cover in the south bay and by the afternoon plenty of sunshine again with the windy conditions for everybody. temperatures are coming down. around the bay, low to mid 60's. oakland, 67, san mateo, palo alto at 66. san jose 68 and low 70's napa, richmond and vallejo. here is a look at the week in san jose, well below average. in san jose are normal high is 84 this time. tomorrow it will be 68.

we come back up a bit on tuesday and wednesday but then things drop on thursday as another front moves through, bringing cloudy conditions into friday and then next weekend, below average. if pollen has been bothering you, it is tree pollen, moderate, it has come down. with all the wind kicking things around, it may be impacting you and here's a look at the accuweather 70 forecast. windy for juneteenth and then tuesday, temperatures up a little bit into wednesday, the first day of summer. milder inland but then notice it really drops on thursday and friday. we will see more cloud cover, a chance of drizzle thursday night into friday. next weekend, sunshine again, but temperatures will be below average for the pride parade. >> now abc 7 sports with chris alvarez. >> giants going for the first sweep of the dodgers in l.a. since 2012 and with a win, a

the family spending a nice father's day at the ballpark. the a's try to avoid a philly suite. kyle sure burke, second leadoff homerun of the series. 1-0, phillies. just like that. hogan and harris paste -- pitched well. allowed two runs. a's threatening in the fifth. zach wheeler strikes out seth brown. he had four strikeouts in a six scoreless innings. it a's on the board. diaz, pinch-hit solo homer to left. it is a 2-1 game. ryan looking to end the ballgame. stopping the seven game, dave dropped five in a row. the warriors did not finish the season with back-to-back championships but they did it to -- achieve an important milestone. the milestone was the 10 year anniversary of the myers community foundation. it is finding ways to give back through grants, court refurbishments and so many educational programs, making a major impact for the next generation of bay area leaders.

all of our team members, we did over 6000 hours of community service, it's something we do every year, not mentioning players and the other things we do. since the inception of our foundation in 2012, we've given out over $30 million in grants. our focus is on educational equity, youth development across the bay area. the future is the youth. these are focuses. we want to invest in the right places, so we can have as much of an impact as possible and that is better focus. >> the nba draft thursday on abc 7. a blockbuster trade between the sons and the wizards. washington was sending three-time all-star bradley beal to the sons for chris paul and several second round picks, as well as a swap. if it goes through the sons would form a new big three with kevin durrant, devon booker. the deal could take a few days to be completed with the possibility of becoming a three team trade in order to get paul traded to a possible contending team. stay tuned.
