the pride celebrations everything. the pride festival mainstage is taking shape in civic center plaza, where a big lineup of performers will uplift a crowd saturday and sunday. the police chief wants pride to be amazing and safe for everyone. >> this is about community unity, inclusiveness. it really shows what our city is all about. we want to make sure is a great event and everyone is safe. cornell: every available officer will be on duty, to provide security for one of the largest pride parades in the world, upwards of half a million people are expected to take part. while there are no specific rights against the celebration, police say there is an increased level of concern. >> with increased rhetoric that we have seen nationwide, we are on alert for that. we do want to make sure we keep are lgbtq community safe. cornell: drag demonstrations across the country have captured

year. >> to see it finished and painted and staged for people to come, it's exciting. zach: it broke ground in august 2021. the services are provided by this nonprofit, assisted by nonprofit and private partners, and received funding from voter measures in supportive housing. each resident is referred by the housing office, their rent subsidized by the housing authority based on income. >> a resident earns $900 a month they will contribute a third to their rent. the housing authority will subsidize the rent. if a resident does not earn that much, maybe they are earning $200 a month, they will pay a portion of their income towards rent. zach: each unit is outfitted with what is needed including furniture and cooking supplies. more than providing a place to live, the site hopes to provide community through common areas like this dog park, community kitchen. >> we may have documentary

julian: san francisco police made an arrest and the connection to a deadly shooting near the bart shooting. police arrested crawford of sacramento, they found him inside a taxi with the young woman in the mission district. the shootings and isolated incident after the men give a compliment to a woman crawford was with. san francisco's district attorney has not pursued charges against a man arrested in sunday's shooting at the embarcadero. police arrested the 33-year-old pittsburgh man on five gun charges, he was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. the d.a. announced it has decided to discharge the case as the investigation continues. the man was in the black suv being pursued and fired at by a white sedan. the car spread from pier 39 down the embarcadero, resulting in a

total of six people being injured, four bystanders. prosecutors scrapped the case as complex. it remains as an open active investigation. ama: a teenager died, -- charged with robbery attempt. 19-year-old birch was driving the getaway car when another person grabbed angels purse. angel was dragged and died two days later. he was involved in a second robbery. angel believed in restorative justice. her friends release the group statement that reads, steps need to be taken to ensure that those who caused this horrendous violence against her do not harm other people and these circumstances are not replicated in our society. she believed the current legal system is not effective in ensuring either of these things. it continues, we recognize under the existing systems and laws it is likely the conventional

prosecution will be pursued in this case despite what she would've wanted. oakland police are looking for a man who shot andd a ower delivery person, at the city's uptown district at 26th street and telegraph avenue. it happened on wednesday. ryan curry has video of a confrontation that led up to the attack. ryan: a man and woman walking their dog go right by a person carrying a vase of flowers. the deliveryman and man exchange words and it escalates quickly. the vase is thrown and the man pulls out a gun and choose the delivery person. later the woman who was with him runs back and grabs one of the dogs and they run away as the delivery person was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. >> it is a very tragic, unfortunate incident, that is senseless. ryan: this woman showed us this video. she runs the korean town northgate community district, that gathers on friday in this neighborhood. she recognizes the shooter and

believes it is someone who was lived in the area for a few months, and is known for carrying a gun because he is protective of his french bulldogs. there are cameras everywhere in the neighborhood. >> we have over 60. we have six intersections completely covered. we're going to cover six more. ryan: oakland police confirmed it happened just before 6:30 p.m. on wednesday. video shows shattered glass, flowers on the ground, and various evidence markers. oakland police have not named any suspects or shared what was said between the two. in statement, this was a verbal altercation that turned physical in which the victim lost their life. the homicide team is working on the case and following up on leads. the next of kin has not been notified and therefore identifies -- identities have not been known. this woman turned the video to
