authority. abc7news at five is next. building a better bay area, moving forward, finding solutions, this is abc 7 news. dion: shining bright this weekend in san francisco as one of the largest pride celebrations in the country is in full swing. could evening and thank you so much for joining us. a pride filled weekend peaks with today's parade down market street. for many, celebration continues well into the night, abc seven news reporter cornell barnard joins us live in san francisco, near the pacific center where that party is still going on. happy pride once again. >> happy pride to you. it is quite a party here at the parade is over and it is time to celebrate. thousands of folks are doing that right now inside civic center as you can see. thousands of people are getting their groove on and speaking of that earlier this year it was a

south of heritage high school. that fire has burned 55 acres and is said to be 60% contained. to the reported mercenary uprising in russia, it is said to be reeling from the weekend turmoil that has left vladimir putin looking weekend. -- weekend. thousands of troops moc marchant to moscow and rebellion but 100 20 miles from the capital the group abruptly stopped and accepted a deal brokered by the president of belarus. the u.s. believes the uprising shows that there are serious cracks in putin's power. >> he was on the doorstep of kyiv looking to take the city and erase it from the mat. now he has had to defend moscow, russia's capital against a mercenary of his own making. dion: the wegner group is led b a man who at one time was one of putin's closest allies. the kremlin says that no one will be prosecuted.

new develop and snap in the investigation following the deaths of five people aboard a room earlier this week. the coast guard says that the marine board of investigation is now conducting interviews to determine if criminal charges should be brought. all five passengers were killed when that submersible imploded while on a mission to view the wreckage of the titanic. investigators are in the initial phase of collecting evidence and once that is complete a formal hearing will be scheduled to collect additional witness testimony. officials are investigating the fatal rollover into the crash in hayward. officers arrived on scene saturday afternoon and detected -- initiated life-saving measures but the rider was pronounced dead. the 37-year-old man was speeding when he lost control trying to make it turn from petermann avenue. the writer's identity has not been released yet. -- the identity of

has not been released. a man is facing dui charges and recovering after chp officers say he drove his truck off the road and into the pacific ocean. the crash happened this morning along east cliff drive in santa cruz. investigators say the 50-year-old driver was drunk at the time. the truck landed along the ocean shore 30 feet below the highway. just ahead, major cleanups underway, the hazmat spill that has three states on alert tonight, the dangerous material in one of the biggest rivers flowing through the area. a different kind of water hazard out there, the warning to swim

dion: officials in montana are urgently working to contain a hazmat spill in the yellowstone river. this comes after a bridge collapsed saturday which sent multiple train cars filled with hazardous material into the river. the cars were carrying molten sulfur and hot asphalt. treatment facilities in three cities are taking emergency protective measures, and telling residents to conserve water. this comes one day after a hearing about a train to remick carrying toxic material where residents had to be evacuated. there are new problems created by the winters massive snowfall here on the west coast. it is so crating potentially hazardous situations for rafters and kayakers on rivers. here is our report. >> as many americans had outdoors, officials are issuing an urgent warning about powerful and dangerous russian rivers

after several drowning deaths across the west. 114-year-old girl in arizona drowned while wearing a life vest after her innertube capsized off the colorado river. >> mother nature has created a really damaging and deadly situation. >> from texas to colorado, conducting dozens of water rescues, and searching for people missing after being swept away by currents. the record snowfall on the west coast is melting and coming down faster than anything they have previously seen. one expert says that it could get worse. >> we will see actually high 90's and hundred temperatures where melt off takes place and that is when we see or dangerous levels. >> california counties are taking precautions, including banning recreation on rivers that flow from the sierra nevada. >> we see a record number of rescues from rivers and waterways from our swift water

>> despite the dreary weather today, we see blue skies right now across most of the bay area and there the export-oriented camera at 59 degrees in san francisco, hovering in the 60's all around the bay area. the golden gate clouds are getting lower but there is a lot of blue in the distance. 67 degrees in santa rosa, napa is 70 degrees, almost 70 degrees in fairfield, concord in livermore. a live look from livermore -- emeryville, clouds beginning to stack and as the evening hours approach. cloudy, drizzly overnight, remaining cooler than average over the next two days but a significant warm is coming our way beginning the midweek. forecast animations taking us into the late night and overnight hours seeing a search

of low clouds and fog -- fog pushing across the loop bay and england, mainly near the coast and bay, giving way to brighter skies near midday tomorrow. temperatures remain in the mid 50's, highs tomorrow upper 50's at the coast, mid-upper 60's are on the bay shoreline and up to about 78 degrees in locations. wednesday we see the warming begin with inland highs in the mid 80's, low-mid 90's inland, on thursday and friday they could warm up to triple digits. here is the seven-day forecast, little change in our current pattern, warming begins on wednesday, continues through thursday, ending to the mid 70's around the bay shoreline. co--mid 80's around shoreline, mid-60's the coast. warming up in the weeks ahead. dion: the heat is here.
