warmer in oakland, 30 degrees warmer in san francisco, 17 degrees warmer and hayward. it was hot yesterday here's a look at our current temperature reading. as you can see, triple digits all over the place. 107 right now in fairfield, 103 in livermore. it had been 108 in livermore earlier. 104 right word -- and morgan hill, santa rosa hit 100 degrees earlier, it is now down to 97. this heat advisory will be in effect until 11:00 tomorrow night, and the heat related illness is possible in these conditions will show you when we can expect some cooling. we will have to wait a day or two, dion. dion: thank you could our team coverage of the heat on dealing with the elements. abc 7 news reporter cornell

barnard is live where this heat has people searching for ways to keep cool and has fire crews on alert. hi there, cornell. cornell: yeah. a busy day for firefighters for sure. there was so much dry grass. we were here when crews jumped on a grass fire, stopping within minutes. then send a lot of families straight to the beach. so much intense heat. >> a vegetation fire impacted two infrastructures. cornell: this ranch of west sierra avenue was saved from a fast-moving grass fire which broke out saturday, on one of the hottest days of the year. the fire was stopped at one acre. >> it is hot, it's dry. a lot of people are out. be careful making decisions. mow early. cornell: on friday, crews battled the ground and in the air. firefighters say they are

dion: some visitors trying to get into yosemite national park are being forced to reconsider their plans. huge early summer crowds are facing wait times about two five hours just to get inside. this is the first peak tourist season since the pandemic, but yosemite does not have a reservation requirement. that policy change was announced back in november, and since then, record amounts of rain and snowfall have led to road closures and repairs that are limiting where visitors can go in the park. celebrating women and celebrant representation. just some of the topics being discussed today at the essence festival of culture in new orleans. day three kicked off with thousands once again filling the new orleans convention center, and folks enjoying the sinking of the latest products in
