j.r.: welcome back. san francisco is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the cable car's invention by offering limited time rides. check this out. this is cable car 42, the one and only that used to run along the route that was discontinued years ago that included jones and hyde street. during the first sunday of the month through october, cable car 42 will take people from the cable car museum through chinatown to aquatic park.
