11:00 p.m. the fire department confirms an underground vault explosion rocked a neighborhood tonight. now the latest on this story from our reporter at the scene. you got a better understanding from the neighbors there about what happened. what can you tell us? >> yeah, first of people are relieved that no injuries have been reported. i do not know if you can hear it, but behind me the fire department officials are going through and knocking glass out from windows that had previously had damage from the explosion. they will be putting plastic over the glass as a temporary fix for residents. earlier, i spoke with a handful of people here during the explosion. and i heard from the owner of the tesla. >> it just exploded. it caught on fire.

and that is when the san francisco pd and fire department told us to move back. they pushed us away. >> i was preparing dinner and it literally sounded like a car bomb. it knocked me to the floor. i got up, and all the windows, because my windows both facing laguna as well as specific, all were impacted -- as pacific, all were impacted. >> i thought it was a firework, then the building was shaking. i came out and i saw a car on fire. i saw the fire coming from the sewers. it was really interesting. reporter: now, remember in april that there was an underground explosion that put the car out for a days and thousands of people in the north beach area and chinatown were

today in the city of marietta. our reporter is the second deadly small plane crash in the area and less than a week. reporter: tonight, scene in southern california the , remains of a business jet after it plunged into a field and burst into flames. >> one aircraft down in the middle of the field. fully engulfed. reporter: all six people onboard killed, according to the riverside county sheriff. >> the fire is a quarter acre. reporter: the faa says the cessna c-550, which departed from las vegas, crashed about 4:15 a.m. on a second approach to the french valley airport in marietta. >> it was very foggy this morning. it was like a snowstorm or you -- where you cannot see even a couple feet in front of you. reporter: the ntsb says five

investigators are expected to arrive today. the faa is issuing a temporary three-mile flight restriction to the scene. the airport is temporarily closed. four days ago, another cessna airplane crashed in the same area after taking off from the same airport in marietta. the 39-year-old pilot died and three others were injured. two tragic scenes. the faa will be investigating that crash and this one behind me as well. the ntsb will also look for evidence here, like radar data, whether information and maintenance records. j.r.: new details of ship fire that raised air pollution concerns and killed two new jersey fire fighters. the fire is now contained. it ignited on wednesday into injured six other fire fighters. crews say they have contained the fire and stabilized the
