francisco, pg&e making repairs after an underground vault erupted in flames out of the manhole in pacific heights. one car damaged as it was parked above the manhole. the wrote windows were blown out. no one was hurt. the vault has been the energized. pg&e will inspect it for safety before reenergizing the line. it happened in the 2100 block of pacific avenue last night. people described to us what they saw and heard. >> it caught on fire. that is when san francisco and the fire department told us to move back. no one was alone on the street. >> i was preparing dinner. it sounded like a car bomb and knocked me to the floor. i got up. all the windows -- my

both facing laguna as well as specific, tall got impacted. >> i was cooking dinner. i thought it was a firework, but i realized the whole building was shaking. i came outside and saw a car on fire. i saw fire coming from the sewers. it was interesting. >> residents were told to shelter in place overnight. catherine stefani spoke to abc news. she is encouraging residents to stay calm and says pg&e shut of the power to make those repairs left night. -- last night. according to the outage valve, electricity is back on. two people sent to the hospital after a crashed in san rafael last night. the two victims had to be pulled out of the plane after it went down in a march at the end of the runway. while it was going down, the aircraft struck electrical lines

, leading to power outages. this is a developing story. we will give you an update as soon as we learn about the victims' conditions. passengers on the ruby princess cruise are waiting to hear if they will depart today. they ship has been stalled a pier 27 for 3 days. abc seven news stone here is what we are learning from passengers. >> the ruby princess is again sitting on the dock of the bay for a third section night in san francisco after it crashed into the dock on thursday. passengers with a simple description of the events. >> is an accident. in alaska at this point, but thursday's crash damaged the whole of the vessel as it was docking. one bay area family said they are not angry, just done. >> we will come back next year.

game also had to be rescued yesterday afternoon. the couple says the tide and strong currents pushed them south of the ballpark. the national weather service issued a small craft advisory until 9:00 a.m. this morning. winds expected to reach 30 mph within that area. some tense moments unfolded during an annual skater event in san francisco. it was between police officers and those in attendance. barreling down a steep road during an event called the dolores street skate bomb. video shows people throwing bottles and other items. it is not known if other arrests were made. in the north bay now is desperately seeking help finding the missing dog. they say it is not only a loss

for the family but also impacts a local nonprofit. this kind of story isecing more common. >> this dog was stolen but the dog is not just an ordinary family pet. >> the dogs name is buddy. he is a little bit older than a year. he is adorable. >> on friday, dittmer walked buddy to the bank in downtown san rafael. but he is not a service dog, so he could not take him inside. he tied him to a flagpole. when he came out 10 minutes later, but he was gone. >> i talk to everybody around here. one gentleman witnessed a womanhood played with the dog and took the dog. >> he is working with the bank and police, hoping surveillance footage will identify the woman. but he says there is more to the story. but he is also a therapy dog for his wife's nonprofit. >> he has a therapeutic function

visitors at yosemite are busy hitting the park. this year, they have been met with long lines just to enter. officials want a temporary reservation system bite next summer due to excess crab this year. -- due to excess crowds this year. they are considering crowd control measures and are proposing a permanent reservation system. the numbers are in for the powerball. saturday's jackpot was estimated to be worth $615 million. the california lottery website says no one hit all six numbers, but one lucky enter did hit five, winning one million dollars. last night's drawing was the 10th largest jackpot in the game's history. the numbers were 7-23-34-42-33. powerball number is 18.

the charge -- charred remains o a business jet after it plunged into a field and burst into flames. all six on board killed. >> the fire is about a quarter acre. >> the faa says the departed from las vegas, crashed around 4:15 this morning on his second approach to french valley airport north of san diego. >> it was foggy, almost like the snowstorm where you cannot see. >> the ntsb says five investigators are expected to arrive on scene today. the faa issuing a temporarily temporary flight restriction. the airport temporary -- temporarily days ago, another plane crashed in the same area after taking off from the same airport.

the pilot died. three others were injured. the faa will be investigating that crash and this one as well. the ntsb will also look at radar data, whether information, and maintenance records. stephanie: the fbi is investigating the alleged bomb threat that led to a southwest plane diverting to oakland. according to the alameda county sheriff's office, the plane headed from las vegas to maui was redirected after a flight attendant said they received images suggesting a bomb was on the aircraft. all belongings and luggage were searched after the plane was evacuated in oakland. no explosive materials found. no arrests have been made. president biden is heading to europe as he prepares for the nato summit. it is as janet yellen finished her trip to china. >> we know the coupling of

vendors and inspectors are facing. >> how are you doing? >> we interviewed a san francisco street vendor about safety and we were assaulted. a woman tried snatching our microphone. vendors around us said this is what they experience every day. permit for a year and says inspectors and vendors are both being attacked. >> people have stolen some of my merchandise. >> over a year ago, s francisco begin the program to make sure every street vendor is registered with the city and has a permit to sell items that are not stolen. on a daily basis, public works inspectors go out with police officers to make sure everyone selling has a permit. now they are being threatened.
