[cheering] >> bonita from r moment that the ruby princess finally set sail from san francisco sunday afternoon. she thought her bon voyage would never happen. >> who would have ever thought that we would be sitting here for four days. i am so excited to go out of the golden gate for the first time in my life and it is going to be exciting. >> the ruby princess has been fully cleared as of last night. [cheering] >> the cat until he passengers that the green light was given overnight to sail. >> i walked down because i wanted to see the state of repairs and i was presently supplies. -- pleasantly supplies -- surprise. >> eight -- a left a hole in the stern, and the crew told us that princess cruises can confirm that repairs on the ruby princess had been

and cook and clean again, make the best of it. >> we want to make sure every thing is ok and hopefully we will be here next year. >> safe journey. cornell barnard, abc7news. >> one person dead and another suffered critical injuries after a plane flew into a set of powerlines near marin county aiort. that fiery crash happened on the east end of the runway in san rafael. sheriff's officials say the person who died was the passenger of a cessna. witnesses called 911 to report an enormous flash and then a loud exposure. lights to the area then went out. firefighters who were first on the scene found the wreckage entangled in power lines. the surviving pilot was airlifted to a medical center and is in critical condition. >> both occupants had left the airport early that morning, they had flown into nevada and then were making their return flight,

both of the occupants are marin county residents. >> snow identities have been released. the ntsb and f.a.a. investigators are now looking into the cause of the crash. pgd is making repairs to an underground vault that exploded in pacific heights. it blew out windows from nearby apartments and excluded a car. neighbors helped to clean up broken glass from the sidewalks. one man talked about hearing the explosion last night. >> upfront, we thought that it could have been a trash fire. then the saw this test on fire. it all the windows are exploded and shattered. you have the debris of the tesla , kinda crazy. >> crazy indeed. pg&e shot off

power last night, and 9300 people with -- were without service. activists of the harvey milk democratic lgbtq club are planning protests tonight over sponsors to a skateboarding flash mob at torres park saturday night. police officers in right gear into disperse a crowd of hundreds of skateboarders who took over dolores street. this event has been held on and off for years with the last one taking place in 2020. metro streetcars and a muni bus were vandalized with graffiti. 32 adults were arrested and 81 juveniles were cited and released. many ignored police orders to disperse. >> i hereby declare this to be an unlawful assembly in the name of the city of san francisco. are to immediately disperse and breakup disassembly. >> the san francisco supervisor dean preston sent this tweet out

reading in part aren't -- armed with right gear, they threaten to tear gas, then arrested, zip tied and detained many children for hours. the police chief says that there were no serious injuries reported, and he denounced the street take over as a dangerous and illegal event. developing news now, to manhunt happening. one near the sacramento area and the other across the country for two escaped inmates. here in northern california, a 35-year-old inmate was discovered missing in the sutter prison medical center. officers arrested him on april 6 after they say he shot a chp officer in an ambush and took two hostages at gunpoint, killing one and wounding the other. he was injured during a shootout with officers. he was admitted into the sutter medical center for an unknown medical condition, and the placer county sheriff says he is gate at about 3:00 this morning

but details on how we got out of the hospital were not released. in pennsylvania, the search is on for a man police say is dangerous and has survivalist skills pillar -- skills. charles burnham escaped from moore county prison outside of pittsburgh and was being held on arson and burglary charges, a suspect in a homicide investigation as well. he is accused of carjacking and kidnapping a couple who tried to escape arrest. mall, the governor is set to sign a package of bills that aims to make it easier to build infrastructure in california. it is called biltmore faster. it is designed to streamline the process of permitting things like energy, water and transportation. the governor's office says it will secure the clean energy future while creating jobs. the earth is moving in southern california. and take a look, it is also taking homes with it. the neighborhood where landslide has led to evacuations.

we see some blue off in the distance as we look eastward. other temperatures at this hour, 68 degrees, 73 degrees in fairfield, 65 degrees, you can see the marine layer developing their in this view, with lots of blue sky above and shimmering bay waters. more clouds will develop or are developing now and will expand overnight with some patchy coastal drizzle in the early morning hours. it will be sunnier and warmer tomorrow afternoon and we can expect sizzling summer heat returning at the end of the week. here is the fog spreading across the bay locally and at 7:00 tomorrow morning, it looks like there will be lots of activity across the bait through the central valley. maybe a bit of a patchy coastal drizzle, and then it gets sunny in the afternoon tomorrow, with a little bit more warmth. temperatures mainly in the mid 50's, rising to 60's at the
