tracy to dublin, your ride will be around 46 minutes. >> this morning the ruby princess cruise ship is heading up the west coast bound for alaska. it left yesterday after a four day delay in san francisco but not all the passengers left with the ship. ryan curry is live with the details. >> good morning. a big relief for many of these passengers. they finally got the notice that their vacation ken starr after days of waiting. the coast guard gave the ship the green light to leave san francisco, and shortly after they did leave san francisco. this is footage of them leaving the harbor under the golden gate bridge. they told abc 7 new thought they would never actually leave. it four days -- it

several thousand passengers are making their way north after some of them did not think they would get this chance to leave, the coast guard clearing them sunday after several days of inspection and now they are on their way to alaska. this is video of the ship leaving san francisco on sunday. the ship crashed into the san francisco pier thursday. after repairs it several days for the coast guard to clear the ship. several viewers told abc they did not believe they would actually leave. 630 passengers got off the ship. >> we decided to our 12-year-old daughter was like "mom, dad, come better to be safe than sorry." >>

to san francisco. others who flew into your from other areas decided to stay. ryan: their vacation was cut short, but many tell us they will revisit their vacation plans next year. hopefully, they will have better luck when it comes to their cruise ship. last check of where the current ship is, it is off the coast of california near eureka, so they are on their way to alaska, which is good news after several days of a long endeavor. amanda: southern california where a major landslide is forcing the evacuation of at least 12 homes, leaving some destroyed. dramatic video shows homes nearly flattened in brooklyn hills estates. cracks were first discovered in the structure of one home, which led crews to discover that the

today, which will feel a lot warmer than this past weekend, because we have those gusty winds across the city, which we want to see today. 86 in antioch. 86 the high in lakeport. things are rapidly going to change. we will see a big area of high pressure build in here and by saturday, it is pretty much sitting on top of southern california. it will act like a heat pump and ring some dangerous heat for a big portion of the southwest. it is have excessive heat watches and warnings out for many states. that does not include the central valley. we do not have any watches and warnings, but that is likely to change. i expect the heat advisory or excessive heat watch to go into effect.

we have had quite a reprieve from some of these warm temperatures for a portion of spring and summer. this morning, all about that drizzle, that morning cloud cover out there breaking down. by 10:00 a.m., most areas should be seeing sunshine as that marine layer pulls back to the coastline. still, a bit of a breeze later today gusting 15 to 20 files per hour in spots. it will feel warmer -- 20 miles per hour in spots. it will feel warmer in today. we will track that marine layer over the east bay. future tracker temperatures by return and we will track the warmest spots exceeding 100 degrees. along the bay shoreline it gets

warm in the 80's. it looks like right now with the latest information we have, the immediate coastline does stay comfortable in the 60's and 70's, but it is not a far cry from the hot temperatures as you move inland. look at all those areas exceeding 100 degrees. is equally hot -- equally hot on sunday. it is warm to hot here over the weekend. to the coast saturday and sunday to find those cooler temperatures. jobina: we have a commuter alert coming in from bart right now. due to an equipment problem on the tracks between san leandro and the coliseum, were looking at a 20 minute delay in the city and richmond directions. there's currently no green line service between here and daly city so passengers traveling to or from the san francisco line can aboard the pleasanton train.
