40's for novato and santa rosa. we are at 56 in livermo good morning. we find a gray sky with pockets of drizzle. and the marine layer breaks down for a warmer afternoon. it gets hotter as the week goes on and we will show you the numbers coming up in a few minutes. let's check in on traffic. jobina: we go back to the commuter alert, this is our biggest issue. this is impacting the -- line due to an equipment problem on the tracks there will be a delay in the daly city and richmond directions. and there is no green line services operating in between. it looks like the -- daly city -- between those two stops he will not have service. the meter lights are on at 5:38. we will keep an eye on the issues we have going on.

princess cruise is making its way -- ryan the latest. ryan: passengers after several days of waiting. the course code -- the coursed -- coast guard cleared them after an inspection. this is a video footage of them leaving on its way to alaska. passengers on board excited and happy they are getting on their vacation way. passengers told us they thought they would never leave. it took four days for the saga to be can lead after the ship crashed into a san francisco peer during a docking accident.

we are live in san francisco, ryan curry, abc 7 news. kumasi: investigation into underground explosion in san francisco. it blew out several windows over the weekend. pg&e described what happened saturday night as an underground failure that cry -- fire crews said led to an explosion and fire. they said the utility did not give an update as to what led to the incident. >> it literally sounded like a car bomb and it knocked me to the floor. >> when i realize there were broken windows and the car was on fire and fire was coming from the ground it seemed more serious. kumasi: firefighters say no one was injured but this is the second time in less than three months when there has been an underground bolt explosion in the city. it knocked out power for some

businesses in that district for several days. >> there's an investigation into the police response with the skateboarding event and san francisco. hundreds of people were brought to this streets near dolores park and some strayed -- sprayed streetcars and a bus with graffiti. the police moved in and they declare the gathering illegal and arrested more than a hundred people. -- 100 people. it prompted protest yesterday when people say police went too far. >> that level of use of force absolutely unacceptable in san francisco in a public park in a gathering of teenagers. kumasi: police chief part, this dangerous and unlawful behavior but members of the public and our officers at risk of injury and worse. this behavior will not be tolerated in our city and i

as the seven -- several day weight is finally over. this is the video footage of it leaving san francisco sunday. the ship crashed into a san francisco pr on thursday leaving a huge hole near the sterno. after they made repairs it still took several days for the coast guard to repair and clear the ship to leave. they told abc 7 news -- passengers told abc 7 news they did not think they would leave . nearly 600 passengers got off the ship and did not go on the cruise. and the on future cruises. >> my family was telling me just don't take a chance and come home. >> people that flew from different areas decided to stay. vacation was cut short but many

of them say they will revisit their vacation plans next year. they say hopefully it will not take long. with where the cruise ship is, it is off the coast near california near eureka making its way to alaska. their vacation is finally underway as they are waiting for so many days. the saga is finally over and now there is a ship in its place here in san francisco. already this is crazy to think about with the turnaround they have to go through. with those on the ship, finally they get some much needed vacation time after they did not know what was going to be happening. we are live in san francisco, ryan curry, abc7 news. amanda: in the north bay one person is dead and another suffers nickel injury after a plane flew into a set of power lines. the crash happened saturday night on the east end of the runway at smith branch airport in san rafael. officials say the person who died was a 15-year-old mark

david of nevada. witnesses called 9112 were an enormous flash and allowed it version. lights in the area went out. firefighters who were on the scene reported the wreckage as being tangled in power lines in the marsh. the surviving pilot, 73-year-old kirk hartford of san rafael is in critical condition after being airlifted to the medical center in walnut creek. >> both occupants of the flight have left the airport earlier that morning. they have flown into nevada and then they were making their return flight. those of the occupants of the plane are marine candy -- county residents. kumasi: investigators are looking into the cause of the crash. amanda: a vote later this morning on expanding self-driving services in san francisco. this is amid growing concerns about driving cars.

highlighting remote work during the pandemic and how much it is affecting the people commuting in san francisco for the workday. the daytime population transformation is the most dramatic in the country. the data shows the city lost nearly 210,000 people driving to their workday in 2021 compared to 2019. and before that the population would jump to 1.1 million people in the city. that shows a loss of nearly 20% of the daytime population. kumasi: developing news on the search for two people on the run on both coasts. police in the sacramento area released this image hoping someone will recognize 35-year-old eric payroll. he is facing charges were -- related to a hostage situation and a shootout with police. he was being treated for a medical condition at the medical center since thursday morning. investigators say he was being watched by a guard but he
