amanda: across the bay area, we are familiar with preparation at this point. the last few months, we have had to prepare for winter, rain, floods, even fire. this week we will want to prepare for the excessive heat. it is the reason the governor launched the new program called heat ready introduced yesterday. the goal is to get vulnerable populations to cool places during he defense by increasing coordination among state agencies and local partners and by providing needed information in 30 languages. california's dryer future is here right now. we remind viewers to stay hydrated and aware of the harshest heat of the day. many cities and counties provide several options for those looking for relief. >> stay cool. look for air-conditioned spaces which can include cooling centers. it can also include shopping
