it will be milder throughout the day. temperatures from 50's to 70's right now and then very hot inland. temperatures near 106 for some spots around the bay. mid-80's but at the beaches, still mid 60's. gloria: developing news. an eight-year-old is in grave ndition after he was caught in the crossfire of a rolling gun battle in oakland. the shooting happened on eastbound 580 your harso street around p.m. a freeway because t to come to ace up last night. it involved two cars. a dark gray sedan and a maroon colored suv. the eight-year-old was in a car that was not involved in the shooting. he is the third child to be it by a stray bullet in oakland in the past four days.

gloria: now, riverside county are working to team three separate fires that i yesterday. fire officials say the brush fires burned a total of 4000 acres with one destroying a home. crews contained 20% of the highland fire in beaumont. evacuation orders are in place for people who live in moreno valley and lakeview. reverend jesse jackson is stepping down as president of the rainbow push coalition. he created the civil-rights group in 1996. he says he wants to see the organization grow and build on what they established over the years. jackson is now 81 and was diagnosed with parkinson's disease in 2017. his successor will be introduced at the end's 57th annual rainbow
