reopens. reggie: 2023 turning out to be a deadly year of the roads in south bay. some are pushing for ways to make the streets safer. abc7news has a look at how technology can help us. reporter: some bill driverl cars could mean less danger on our roadways. in san jose, they have dealt with the number of deadly incidents, especially during last year. the good news is promising news we are far behind those stats so far this year compared to 2022. this week we saw two daily crashes amplify residence calls for safety improvements. a driver of a nissan suv suspected being under the influence ran a red light hitting a car. two people ejected and the impact killed one of them.
