will be back the negotiating table with hopes of reaching an agreement with the company. the current contract runs out in six days. if there is no agreement, hundreds of thousands of people could head to the picket lines. amanda is live in menlo park with what is at stake. amanda? amanda: this will be the first time the two sides are meeting since july 5 deadlock. we have seen at least practices strike demonstrations, including two at this menlo park hub. writers is reporting -- reuters is reporting that ups and teamsters have reached an agreement on a number of issues, including air conditioned on delivery vans. still the union continues to push for better wages for part-time employees, accounting half of ups's workers. the teamsters contract which expires on the 31st covers more

than 334,000 full-time and part-time employees. that is 6% or 7% of the supply chain in the country. supply chain backups and all of that would be significant. we heard from industrial and labor experts on what we are seeing now. >> when you look at who is striking, you see in some essential workers who worked during the pandemic who are kind of fed up. they are looking to prove their terms and conditions of employment. they are looking to have a voice in their workplace which they did not necessarily have before. they are talking with their feet and going on strike. amanda: if an reached by july 31, they will

strike august 1. some experts estimate the economic impact of a 10 day ups strike would be more than $7 billion, the costliest in modern times. not to mention customer losses and lost wages in the billions and projected losses of $816 million. plenty of pressure for both parties. this is a step forward as now both are coming back to the bargaining table. reggie: more developing news from union workers. fedex pilots rejected a tentative deal that included a 30% raise. the agreement included equal boost and pension benefits. it is unclear what the union's objections are. kumasi: supporters of the actors strike are planning on rallying outside of san francisco hall. members are striking over streaming residuals, the impact of ai technology, and earnings.

being celebrated for the first time outside of a clinical trial. a uterus transplant recipient has delivered a healthy baby. mallory learned she was born without a uterus and would never be able to biologically carry a child. she went through a uterus transplant and nine months later she also had an embryo transplant. more than two decades after her diagnosis, mallory gave to her son. >> i got to hold him and i was just very overwhelmed that he was actually there at healthy. i never once thought what if this doesn't work. i knew it would. reggie: the university of alabama is one of four uterus transplant programs in the country. i believe -- unbelievable. mike pence will be in the area kasatkina speaker on the first day of the summer conference for the knapp institute which seeks to advance the catholic faith. kumasi: president biden is
