dan: families in san jose are protesting the cut to psychiatric care. they gathered this morning to advocate for seriously mentally ill patients rely on the services. the facility plans to cut its 18-patient care how stir but all beds -- care hospital beds. >> we think that it is a clear case of discrimination against mental health programs, and we are going to point that out and make the hospital accountable for. dan: the closure comes as good samaritan plans to expand other facilities with hospital wings. santa clara county already faces a severe shortage of behavioral health services. according to her report, the county needs another 960 psychiatric beds in order to meet the need. ama: a carnival is on its way to the san francisco civic center.
