>> building a better bay area moving forward, finding solutions. this is abc seven news. good morning. >> i'm reggie from abc seven mornings san francisco. firefighters just put out a four alarm structure fire in hayes valley. here's video of the fire at its height. it was burning near the intersection of oak street and octavia boulevard. it's possible this building was under construction. when we do see some scaffolding that looks like it came down, we don't know what started this fire. i am wondering if this is still having an impact on traffic because there's a lot of firefighters still in the area. >> absolutely. reggie still roughly about 130 firefighters

that. if you ask is this rebecca jarvis come as a surname or can you hear me? they try to get you to say yes because once you say yes, that is an indication they know who is on the other line and they can add you to a robocall list so they know this number is an active number and they know who is on the other end or worse, they can use that "yes" verbal communication of affirmative to sign you up for things, from spending and affirm your credit card appear that is the worst-case scenario, which is why instead of picking up that number you don't want to do it. >> michael: if you get a call like this how should you respond? >> reporter: first thing you want to do is not. best-case scenario you don't pick up the phone from unknown number appear the other piece is unknown number can come from area code in your area. that is one way you to spoof you into think it might be someone you know. second if you do happen to pick up the phone and they say, can you hear me? they use your name and instead

need to get to steamboat as soon as possible. >> when britney thompson ready to give birth to her second child, she knew she had an hour and a half drive to the hospital in steamboat, but things didn't go according to plan. >> i had a baby on the side of the highway. >> she was 30 minutes from the hospital went to the contract and started getting more intense. she told her husband to call 911. >> the ambulance got there right as she was crowning. so, -- >> because her drive for so long, she had her baby on the side of the road. we reported extensively on maternal crisis, 3-4 times more likely to die from related causes. the maternal care deserts and impact all demographics and of course only increased the chances of complications around pregnancy, guys. >> robin: you know, this is such an eye-opener, janai and i will look right at you about to give birth to your third

about the loss of his wife with a "pocketful of happiness" and joining us now. mr. grant, thank you so much for being here with us. and where did the idea for this book come from? >> i posted a video taken from the beach on new year's day saying i felt like my compass was broken and my wife had died. and then publishers my wrote a memoir. my daughter said will help you process your grief. that is how it came about. it has really helped. >> tell us about the title. >> before my wife died, we have been together 38 years and she said my know you will be sad but try to find a pocketful of happiness each day. it has been a great mantra to navigate grief and not trying to win the lottery or a price but find something at the end of the day that will make you feel good. >> that must have meant something. >> absolutely amazing and after

38 years together of the last eight months of her life was a small part. i remember the best gruesome bits. >> robin: that says a lot about your relationship, your marriage with her. if someone is listening, i want a pocketful, how did they start in their own life to find that happiness? >> looked at the weather report this morning. so much traffic as usual in manhattan but i flew across the world to be here today. that has given me such joy and delight. i think it is being mindful about what there is around you. >> it doesn't have to be grand. >> exactly right. >> you have been journaling since you are ten years old. and you use those journals to talk about the different decades. how did that make this unique? >> what i know about a diary is it is authentically in the moment it is written. and in retrospect,

reunion with them. >> we have great friends and usually on a job if you met today, best friends from now. i never want to see you see you again as long as i breathe. a real bonus. >> you tell stories lifelong obsession with barbara barbra streisand. how did you finally connect? >> since i was 12 years old finally during the oscars. i tweeted a fan and written it as 14 years old and took a picture outside of her house in malibu with security guards permission. she responded the next day on twitter and i just lost it. i was absolutely overwhelmed. i met were at the oscars and a 19 minute on 121 conversation ad if you are obsessed with somebody. >> you were 14? >> and i told her, i have a confession to make and she said, what is that? a sculpture of your head in my

yard. she said, you are crazy. i said, i know. >> you are crazy, get out! >> we will be lifelong friends. you know why? you can relate to what i'm wearing. you saw these shoes and called it out. you said -- and you know why? >> because i've played an old drag queen in a movie called "everybody is talking about jamie" based on a true story. an old drag queen. and walking around. >> thank you. >> in addition to the book, you do have another book that just came out. how is it to be an author now that you are playing an author? >> well, in the movie called "the lesson" suffering from writer's block and whereas i have never suffered from that.
