s is the largest school distri inju -- sju district in the county. overwhelming, exhausted, tired, excited as how parents are describing today's big return to school. the district is adding eight full-time behavioral support specialists throughout the system. we are told this is in direct response to issues experience last year when the district saw an uptick in behaviors such as difficulty with basic conflict resolution. they attribute this to pandemic related struggles. such challenges are nationwide trained created school safety is always top of mind per unit several incidents april and may of last year within sku involving social media threats and students bring it loaded firearms and even ate night on the campuses. it is why they are introducing a

reggie: police investigati after multiple people were found dead inside a danville home. they say they were called out last night to a home. abc seven news reporter was in there and spoke to the neighbors. reporter: a lot of questions

tonight from nearby neighbors on what exactly happened at his home in danville. the sheriffs office said they are investigating a possible murder suicide. the call came in around 5:30. dispatch audio indicates it was a welfare check at a home. several officers were on scene taping off the residence. we spoke to a longtime neighbor who said he still is processing something like this happening so close to home. >> this is shocking to the neighborhood. i have kids here. live here 20 you cannot process it because i do not think we even had anything as far as murder suicide. reporter: the sheriff's office says there's no threat to the public but did not say if there had been any arrests. investigators say more information will be released at a later time. in danville, lauren martinez.

kumasi: oakland mayor trying to highlight the work administration is doing to tackle violence while some people's support the efforts of other state what is being done is not enough. a recent newsletter from the office shows $2 million for the towards reducing school violence and also details plans to add more foot patrol officers and a cease fire initiative which focuses on bank and group violence. some critics say too much money given to opd and other programs need funding. >> not addressing the root causes like root causes of property crimes his people are struggling to survive. kumasi: money put toward the department of violence prevention which recently had a budget cut. reggie: emergency managers for more than a dozen countries getting a look at the emergency operations center. it has become a hub whenever there is a disaster.
