5:18 pm
on us. the storm is moving northward, plowing through central california but well to the east, which means that the effect here , you might not even notice it. is looking -- here's what's happening, all of these weather systems have nothing to do with tropical storm hilary, it's just a typical breezy pattern, and the only place you're getting gusts is santa clara with 24 miles per hour. there's the 24 hour temperature change across the bay area, generally about 10-15 degrees warmer than we work this time yesterday, and as you may have noticed, this is beginning to get more humid out there. a little bit sticky. here's the view from sutro tower, san francisco so far under blue skies, 37 degrees in the bay area, pretty warm san francisco standards, 93 degrees mountain view, low 90's in san jose and palo alto, 624 degrees in half moon bay. as we look westward from emeryville, blue skies, and 85
5:19 pm
degrees in nevada, 90 degrees at napa, and low 90's at fairfield concord and livermore. as you might expect on a day like this, these are the forecast futures overnight, clouds overnight with scattered light showers, those are sort of related to the approach, the movement northward of tropical storm hilary, and we are cooler tomorrow with the occasional showers, the minimal input we will feel from the storm. drier and warmer by the end of the week. starting at midnight, that rain way out there is associated with northern movement of that storm, and light scattered showers start to move through the bay overnight through the early morning, perhaps a bit more widespread later in the morning. in the afternoon we see downpours moving in from the south for the central valley. that might get us as close as livermore or the diablo range,
5:20 pm
that's just about it before things settle down. low temperatures under cloudy humid conditions will remain in the low-mid 60's, really sticky and mild and warm, highs tomorrow of mid-60's at the coast, a percent east -- 60's to nick -- 70's to near 80. in the east bay it's warmer, but not hot, mid-80's, at low-mid 80's in the south bay. here's the accuweather 7-day forecast, starting to dry out here and get warmer by tuesday. wednesday, it gets downright hot. in our inland areas, we are in the upper 90's and mid-upper 80's around the bay shoreline, still hot on thursday, and chuckled down on friday, that pattern will continue into the weekend. i look for to that. >> a little warm, but we can't complain with what they're dealing with in southern california. that's a serious situation and getting more serious by the hour. thank you so much spencer. is it football season yet?
