6:13 am
the coast right now. so let's take a look at our forecast animation. we're not going to see much of a marine layer or we didn't see much last night and this morning, but later today we develop a stronger onshore wind flow that's going to bring the marine layer back to the coast. so that'll bring some cooling along the coast and around the bay shoreline during the evening and overnight hours as the inland areas will still be quite mild to warm, though, especially today. and look for highs in the mid 90s from fairfield to antioch to livermore to concord down to the south bay, upper upper 80s to about 90 degrees. we'll see upper 70s to mid 80s around the bay shoreline. so still mild to warm from bay to inland, but cooling down tomorrow carmassi. >> thank you, spencer. >> coming up, we're taking you inside san francisco's new ikea store that just celebrated its grand opening and the direct light that is returning to sfo after several years. mired was up here. >> now it's down with rybelsus. >> here's a onesie. >> it's down with rebels. down

but faced with the climate emergency, there's really no economy on a dead planet and there's no tourism and pleasure on a dead planet. >> in an email to abc seven news, the port of oakland responded saying, okay, continues to explore the new zero emission aviation technologies that will help us achieve our zero emissions goals. airport leaders want to reach zero emissions by 2040 and are working with airlines to increase the use of what's called sustainable aviation fuel. it's not a fossil fuel. the airport also joined the airport carbon accreditation. that's an international program that requires airport members to complete a review of greenhouse gas inventory charges there. their there will be a final public hearing at the hilton oakland airport next wednesday at 11. now to sfo, where united airlines is bringing back its flights from san francisco to china as the city's tourism industry is still trying to bounce back from covid 19. >> according to our media partners at the san francisco standard, flights to beijing will resume november 9th. united airlines will also launch new

were little giveaways, she had like a little ikea hat. >> that's a lot of people out. okay let's revitalize downtown now, please. >> and they have a new workspace as attached to it. did you read about that? no. >> what's that? >> yeah it's an ikea branded workspace where people who are working from home or want a temporary office sometimes or need to hold meetings and that kind of thing. that's nice. they have it in that building. that's smart. >> very smart idea around here. and the food is solid. if you're hungry and in a bind. and it's not particularly expensive. so is the line long? well i'll just prepare speak on that part yet. >> that's because the food is good. >> yes. yes it's all like the little lingonberry situation. oh, i like it personally. >> yeah, she's sweet. >> she's sweet. yeah mashed potatoes. >> all right, i'll try. >> you're making me hungry. all right. between this and the octopus salad that we went on and on. no, no, no, no. not that . not that again. let that go. okay hey, sky's getting brighter
6:20 am
. >> the sun has risen. this is a view from mount jam looking down onto the bay. just a couple of little areas of some light low clouds there. not much of a marine layer. so it's going to be another warm day. it's already mild this morning. warm to hot this afternoon, breezy and much cooler tomorrow, though, because we will have a marine layer developing this evening right now, 64 degrees in san francisco. well mid 60s, just about everywhere except even warmer at mountain view in san jose where it's 70 degrees already. this is the view from our rooftop camera looking across the embarcadero, we have low to mid 60 at novato and santa rosa. fairfield upper 60s approaching 70 right now. places like napa, concord and livermore . so again, you can see it's going to be another warm day. inland forecast animation gives us some hope because late this afternoon we'll see the marine layer building again, a surge onshore during the nighttime hours, maybe some drizzle offshore. so the marine layer will reform. we'll get a cooling onshore breeze, but that won't help inland temperatures today. we'll still see highs in the mid
6:21 am
90s in most inland areas up in the north bay mid to upper 80s to about 90 right around the bay shoreline. we'll see some more mid 80s today. so it's going to be warm even near the bay. but it will start to cool down a little bit near the coast as the clouds start to build. so we'll look for mid 60s at the coast and the accuweather 70 forecast shows it'll be a whole lot cooler tomorrow thanks to that building. marine layer and tonight's onshore flow. but then over the weekend, gradual warming begins again and takes us into next week. and this takes us to jobina. >> thank you, spencer. good morning, everybody. so i want you all to look at our emeryville camera right now and look at the street team of headlights all on the left hand side there. that's the westbound and traffic traffic is completely stopped in this area. the chp is reporting right now police activity be on westbound 80 right at the bay bridge and that all lanes are blocked. so that is not good news. we're working to see if we can gain some more information. but we do know that this is a sigalert at
6:22 am
this time and this is not our only sigalert on westbound 80 in the east bay. so i'm just bringing in our san jose camera to show you that elsewhere it's clear now i want to zoom in to the other spot. so you look at our map, we have two huge red stretches of traffic here in the east bay. the second signaler is going to be in richmond. this is westbound 80 before central avenue. your speeds are down to around nine miles per hour in this spot. so it's going to be a messy ride. and if, say you're coming from berkeley or maybe even richmond and you can take bart, this might be a good morning to do that. >> reggie jobina, thank you. and now we're going to turn to some our theodora, she is live with a look at what's happening on gma this morning. >> good morning. tomorrow >> good morning, reggie. and tsay. >> it's so great to be with you guys this morning. so here's what we're going to be talking about today. we're following the story you've been covering last night's gop debate. eight candidates are taking the stage as former president trump prepares to surrender in georgia this afternoon. and former un ambassador nikki haley joins us live. and a story from california, one you've covered, the deadly mass shooting at a
