4:19 pm
moderate around the east bay. still some good air quality in san francisco. so but there is an air quality advisory right now due to all the wildfires in oregon and parts of california. live look from mt. tam shows you those hazy skies as we look south, we're expecting moderate air quality to continue tomorrow . but then on monday, air quality is expected to improve for inland east bay, south central bay and the santa clara valley. and also, here's another view from the east bay hills. look at how hazy it is. that's san francisco right there. that's the bay in the background. so we have some low clouds overnight, but the marine layer is a bit more compressed. so that will clear quickly. we'll get more sunshine, hazy skies, slightly warmer tomorrow , though. and then the heat really builds inland next week. and i'll show you that, too. so our forecast animation tonight shows little cloud cover, but then we'll see some clouds move in overnight. even those pockets of green, we could see some
4:20 pm
drizzle, possible patchy at best. but notice it's clear in the north bay and also the inland areas and then it pulls back very quickly. more sunshine for everybody. but we still get that northwest flow at the beaches and that's why things will be cooler there. so highs will range from 60 at the beaches all the way to mid 90s tomorrow with plenty of sunshine except in half moon bay, where will be 66 degrees. but san francisco really comfortable at 74. we'll see upper 70s to near 80 in the east bay oakland 78. san jose 84 and then north bay numbers in the 90s low 90s for santa rosa, cloverdale and lakeport. and then tonight we'll drop generally into the 50s with that fog moving in a little bit into the east bay. but notice it is compressed, so it's going to change very quickly. i want to jump ahead to monday. notice we'll see some more mid 90s and 70s at the beaches. tuesday we start to warm up even more. wednesday right now looks to be
4:21 pm
the hottest day next week near triple digits for some areas like fairfield and antioch. san francisco, possibly up to 95. san rafael 90. it's going to be a pool day. but of course, most kids are back at school. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so hazy and slightly warmer tomorrow so then it gets mild to hot on monday. the heat really builds us inland will be our hottest day on wednesday. warm to hot even at the beaches and at the coast. on wednesday it'll be from the 70s to near 100. notice it starts to cool down towards the end of the workweek and milder temperatures . as for next weekend, now to abc seven sports with chris alvarez. >> the giants entering the day one game outside the final wild card spot and once again taking on the best team in baseball. the 83 win. atlanta braves bring your baby to the ballpark. nice day to do that. top of the fifth. hello to all. austin riley says hello and goodbye to that baseball. sean manaea to the bleachers in left 30th of the year three two braves next

inning same score for orlando arcia solo homer to dead center off luke jackson. the giants lose 7 to 3. they'll look to avoid the sweep tomorrow night on espn. sunday night, baseball 40 niners and cowboys, two of the most iconic franchises in all of the nfl. and hard to believe with names like montana young star back and aikman that these long time rivals actually play. let's make a deal but that's exactly what has happened the niners have traded trey lance to dallas for a fourth round pick. remember lance supposed to be the next face of the franchise for the 49 ers now headed to big d? and after yesterday's preseason finale, both head coach kyle shanahan and john lynch reflected on trey short time in red and gold. >> i always feel like i let trey down. i mean, i wanted him to come here. i believe in trey. i believed in him before we took him and i'm responsible for that. i didn't want to throw him into the heat of battle right away, but i thought he needed to play. so we tried to figure out every way to do that. i mean, if i can look back in hindsight, i
4:23 pm
wish i didn't put him in a play that had him break his finger, because i think that really hurt him in his first year and not only did it hurt him not getting able to mix in much, but it hurt him in the practice time because he had to adjust how he threw and things like that, which i think set him back for a second year. when we went into the second year, we gave him every chance to do it. we were going to make an offense that it, to me gave him the best chance to be successful at that time, which we did do. and when you do that, you hope a guy can stay healthy so he can stay out there long enough. but that didn't last long. it was the first game and but sometimes things just don't work out. >> i still very much have belief that he's going to become a player for now. it's just not going to be for us. and we take full accountability for that. and you know, and in some way, yeah, we got lucky. on brock, but sure, that's setback our team. it would have been nice to have those picks and all that you know. so we do own that and fortunately we still have a really good football team that i think scott is, you know, a legitimate shot. we're focused
4:24 pm
on game one, but we have a championship level roster now. it's what we make of it. >> time to win now, as for the game last night, starting quarterback brock purdy backup sam darnold played well most importantly got out healthy. tsay purdy played two drives, five and 973 yards, passing in one rushing touchdown right into your living room. that's perfect. camera placement from abe mendoza quarterback to darnold made a couple big plays. how about aaron it out long first down pass to chris conley for 34 yards also had a red zone touchdown to willie snead in the back of the end zone now all eyes towards week one in pittsburgh some that we're all looking forward to are really excited about it felt like camp has been, you know, pretty solid the last couple of weeks. >> and you know, we're like i said, man, we're ready, ready to get this thing rolling. >> that is your look at sports. we'll be right back. >> my late father in law lit up a room, but his vision dimmed with age. he had a amd. i didn't know it then, but it can progress to ge an advanced form of the disease. his struggle with vision loss from amd made me want to help you see warning
