landing -- planning. most of them are here because they are concerned about possible school closures. we do not need to close any schools. with what the speaker is talking about it is managerial incompetence. >> during a presentation tuesday night the district revealed they lost 4000 students since 2012 and expect to another 4600 students in the next nine years. >> enrollment has declined and will continue to decline. >> the district says they are struggling to staff schools that are not fooled and had a 21% staffing shortage as a it august. -- mid august. never have an advisory to discuss how to addresses. parents say that this sounds like a recipe for school closures. >> school closures are of theme in the city and they always target our black and brown students. that is where we need investing.

according to the aclu there are 500 laws across the country targeting the lgbtq+ community. kumasi: new details about a shooting in the tenderloin district we first told you about yesterday. but your separate agencies are investigating after officers shot a man and sent them to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. it happened monday night on jones street. officers responded to a man armed with a large knife who was threatening people. upper officers tried for 20 minutes to get the men to surrender. >> officers made engage the individual and order to try and broker a peaceful resolution. i don't have the exact details of what the suspect did that precipitated the shooting. but at some point during the interaction officers felt it was necessary to use deadly force. kumasi: for now police will only say that more than one officer open fire. they're not releasing the man's age, name, or condition. reggie: the latest from maui.

neighborhood got quite the wake-up call recently. it came when hundreds of goats stormed down the street. you can actually hear them before you see them. and there they are. there is a few of them. all of a sudden there are dozens more, and then hundreds more. this happened in the ring mountain neighborhood. goats apparently escaped their enclosure last tuesday. neighbors tell abc 7 the herd was loud. they walk up dogs and people up and down the street. this would have been such a scene. can you imagine? kumasi: i really can't. reggie: a goatherd are eventually corralled them back into the pen. kumasi: it is like a little street party parade. >> boom!
