say there's a strip club going on at this unit, basically they take the call and they tell me that they will deal with it. >> but she says despite her efforts, every weekend, the parties continue to police come out for each of those calls. >> i have no idea. >> the i-team's san jose police to look up several case numbers provided to us by the resident tonight. a spokesperson said they were either noise or music complaints. i asked further about three calls to nine one 1 in 1 weekend, one on august 18th at 4:42 a.m, a spokesperson told the i-team police did not respond to that 911 call because the supervisor requested the information be turned over to the bureau of investigations for follow up, police said. another call on august 19th at 4:58 a.m. was solely a music complaint and there was no police response in a final call to 911 on august 20th at 4:08 a.m, san jose police said communication personnel called the reporting party back for an update on the noise disturbance prior to dispatching officers when unable to reach the caller for a status update. the call was canceled.

in a follow up email to abc seven news, a spokesperson referred to the noise disturbance as a low priority call. >> there isn't the sense of urgency that i think this kind of a situation person is entitled to. >> a san jose police spokesperson told the i-team. public information officers and other department personnel were not available for interviews by email. the spokesperson told the i-team sfpd was first made aware of the allegations in early august and that an investigator into what they call the illegal business is open and ongoing. but the person hosting the parties told me he's not doing anything illegal. well, i called the number listed on the invitation and spoke with someone for 22 minutes who identify himself as fresh. he told me the private parties are for friends and family and that his mom, who lived in the townhome recently passed away. he denied charging money to get in or for bottle service and told abc7 news that 200 for bottles referred to tokens, not dollars. he said the exotic dancers are entertained, honors, family and friends, not

employees. he called these security guards his brothers who work a graveyard shift at clubs and that if they're outside it's because they're smoking. >> if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, it's a duck. it's a strip club. >> in addition to sjp, residents filed complaints with other agencies, san jose's code enforcement deputy director told the i-team code enforcement has opened a case to investigate any potential zoning, building or municipal code violations within its purview. also, that it is coordinating with sfpd on the issues at the townhome. then coordinate, take care of this problem now before it gets worse . the department of alcoholic beverage control told the i-team it could not confirm or deny if it's investigating, but reiterated that it looks into every complaint received also that the sale of alcoholic beverages in california without an appropriate license is a misdemeanor violation of the business and professions code. an attorney for the homeowners association told me he had no comment in forcement aside, a person who told me she's been helping, the landlord said an

than ever. >> this labor day. >> lisa 2023. ford mustang mach-e for 399 a month for 36 months only at your california ford dealer. >> a popular youtube star known for giving parenting advice and her business partner are now facing charges of child abuse. ruby frankie, the 41 year old mother of six known for her youtube show, eight passengers, was arrested earlier this week for abusing some of those children. the story came to light when a malnourished child escaped and went to a neighbor's house looking for food and water. police say the child's wrists were duct taped and had wounds across his body from being tied up. investigators say a second malnourish child was found inside the home. new at 11 republicans plan to force a vote on sb 44 known as alexandra's law. on tuesday in the california assembly. that law would require courts to give formal warning to convicted fentanyl dealers that that drug can kill. and if they sell it again and somebody dies, they could face murder charges. that

bill had been blocked by a committee earlier this year. alexandra's law is named after a young woman who died of fentanyl poisoning in 2019. on we're about three months into the crackdown on fentanyl dealing in san francisco. the question is, is it really working? the numbers are pouring in when it comes to tackling this crisis, especially in the tenderloin. abc7 news reporter tara campbell sorts through the numbers and also spoke to a woman whose son is among those arrested. >> three months into a multi-agency tsay effort taking aim at san francisco's open air drug market and new numbers show a big bump in dealers being arrested. >> my, my, my first thoughts when i hear these numbers going up like this is. thank you. because that means that they're putting pressure on the drug dealers to get these deadly drugs off the streets. >> jackie berlin's son, corey, is on the streets battling addiction to fentanyl. >> it makes it harder for my son to access the drugs, which maybe puts a little pressure on him and others to get an opportunity

to think maybe they just want to be done with this. >> san francisco police arresting 300 drug dealers since the end of may, while california highway patrol and federal law enforcement report another 100 drug arrests. >> what is encouraged to me is less about the numbers and more about the cooperation, because ultimately that's where we're going to make progress. >> police also focusing efforts on getting drug users off the streets. san francisco police making 450 public intoxication arrests. jackie berlin's son is one of them. he was held for 12 hours. >> he said he just slept most of the time, which actually that's something that he needs, is a safe place to sleep and supervise. >> matt dorsey wants to see more money going into helping drug users get treatment in jail, calling on the mayor to redirect millions, set aside for a handful of resource centers. >> it's hard to make the case that we should be spending the amount of money that we have budgeted for this for a voluntary drop in center. when

also an investor in anthropic that deal has not been officially announced, but hawaii's governor, josh green, says the number of people missing from the maui fires could drop from 388 to fewer than 100. initially, more than a thousand people were considered unaccounted for based on reports from friends and family officials have narrowed that list to 388 names that they considered credibly missing. that included names of many who were actually alive or are known to have died. either way, after authorities published those names, more than 200 people promptly came forward with information on those listed and firefighters who volunteered to help with the relief efforts following the maui fires were welcomed home to san francisco today. these members of the asian firefighters association spent a week on maui. >> my family's from lahaina. i spent all my summers on lahaina. these guys stepped up, were right there willing to do anything. and we're talking digging through ashes to find someone's keys to their car, to

chance tomorrow and sunday and cooler than average for the holiday weekend. so hour by hour, we go. if you are going to get away tomorrow morning, an isolated shower around 5 a.m, not out of the question, continuing around 8 a.m. but notice all the cloud cover. a couple of sprinkles in the afternoon and the east bay and then we head into sunday. and there's another opportunity for seeing a couple more showers across the region. but this is really not going to amount to a whole lot like today where we had trace amounts to a few hundredths of an inch. that's about all we'll get out of this . temperatures in the 50s, tomorrow morning as we look at the afternoon highs, not exactly september like, but it should be mild inland 70s seconds along the coastline, mid 60s. and as we take a look at the accuweather seven day forecast, we'll keep the isolated chance both days. but like i said, it's not really one of those situations where you have to change your plans on labor day. it'll be milder. good grilling weather, low 60s to mid 80 s and closer to average as we head
