seven, eight, nine, ten. >> this cvs store in novato just got a fresh shipment of covid tests. we also found plenty of kits available on amazon, some with overnight shipping. dr. willis says if you need to get tested right away, call your doctor and then your other option is going to your health care provider. >> health care providers do have test kits as well. >> in marin county, cornell bernard, abc7 news. >> all right, good tips there. and something else to add covid tests that are past their expiration date can still be used. so to be sure, just check the manufacturer's website for all the specifics on how long that test is viable. happening now, part of westbound i-80 is closed for all of labor day weekend, so it can be repaved. westbound 80 is cse between interstate 780 and highway four, and that includes the carquinez bridge. the detour is highlighted in green right there on this ma drivers should take 7 to 82, 6 to 80 and then highway four back back to 80. and as you can imagine, there is a lot of slow traffic on that detour. this is what it looked like yesterday on southbound
6:20 am
interstate 680. lots of trucks were sharing the road with cars . 80 is closed so that caltrans can repave it and it plans to pour 9000yd■!t of concrete to reface four lanes of traffic caltran says that condensing the work into the long weekend will spare drivers from months of overnight closures. so definitely keep that in mind if you travel there. and also happening now, crews in contra costa county are out spraying insecticide in two spots to combat west nile virus. officials say that activity has been increasing in martinez near the waterfront. also in discovery bay. the plan was for trucks to start spraying around four this morning and then wrap up by 8:00. well now let's go to meteorologist francis dinglasan tracking your labor day weekend forecast. and francis, a lot of people planning those barbecues this weekend. is it going to be a good weekend for that? >> yeah, by monday it should be dry, but i want to show you live doppler seven, the satellite radar image. so there's this
6:21 am
area of low pressure just to the northeast of ukiah. so with this counterclockwise circulation, we're getting clouds and also isolated shower chances through saturday and tomorrow. monday should be okay. i also want to zoom in in the tahoe area because some areas here have gotten over an inch of rain through the sierra, even south lake tahoe has gotten half an inch and they continue to get the chance of thunderstorms through the weekend. live shot in san jose showing you the shark tank and some gray skies. most temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. san francisco, 61. also mountain view, oakland at 65 degrees. san jose 62. palo alto and half moon bay in the upper 50s right now and this time from emeryville. we're looking at west. everything looks blue here toward san francisco and the bay bridge. lots of 60s and some inland areas like fairfield, 62, concord, 64, santa rosa, right at 60 degrees right now. napa also at 64. and this time from our roof camera. you see a mix of low level clouds, some
6:22 am
mid-level clouds also there breaking up a bit. so we have that area of low pressure actually breaking up the stratus marine layer. but we could still see some morning drizzle and it's going to be mostly cloudy today. and tomorrow with a chance of isolated showers lingering and then temperatures will be cooler than average through labor day. but by labor day, we'll get a little bit more sunshine. so the forecast animation shows you some gray skies, some possible drizzle here and even a light shower or two. but notice throughout the day, as the clouds come in from the southwest, most of the rain is to our east and even to our north. tomorrow night, we could still see a chance of a spotty shower. but for the most part, very little rain, if any at all . uh- highs today, generally in the 70s for almost everybody. but at the beaches it will be in the mid 60s as santa rosa will be perfect. i think at 75 degrees. oakland comfortable 73. san jose 76 and our warmest
6:23 am
spots will be inland near 80 degrees. tonight's lows will be in the mid 50s for parts of the north bay like santa rosa, lakeport and then right around the immediate bay area, look for near 60 for many areas like san mateo, redwood city, san francisco, 59 degrees now on monday, we'll get a little bit more sunshine. inland areas will be a little bit warmer, possibly some mid 80s. but at the beaches, a little bit cooler with that stronger sea breeze. so half moon bay might be cooling down. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so we've got those isolated shower chances today lingering into tomorrow. tomorrow will be a little bit cooler. and even though on monday it'll be brighter and milder, generally we're still below average. we won't hit close to average until tuesday. but then it looks like sunny weather tuesday through friday, the rest of the workweek and closer to average. so i don't think you'll need an umbrella today. for the most part, i know if you are sensitive to it, you might want to have it handy. but i got by

6:27 am
opportunity to be the guy. and if tennessee is going to go where they want to go, it's going to be joe milton is going to be consisting with his decisions and accuracy. >> so many transfer quarterbacks michael penix jr now washington's quarterback came over last year from indiana had a great year they opened against boise state another team with with huge expectations and pressure and what a tough game to match up with in my opinion with that typical old tough boise state. >> a veteran boise state team. taylor green is a quarterback that can make you pay for it if you're not prepared. but washington seems to have some maturity about him. i really like what kalen deboer has done second year now. i think there's more of kind of an established culture. so i think washington will get off to a good start, but they could be challenged here saturday night, prime time abc battle of the carolinas, north and south carolina. well, i think when i heard that game day was coming to charlotte, i was excited because of the quarterbacks have spencer rattler and drake maye, two of the top signal callers in the country, going head to head, be a lot of fun, get things started on abc with a great triple
