this is where her political career began after all, it was a very hot day under the blazing sun for those sitting outside side that did not stop the accolade from the vice president. even the blue angels . >> she showed us a world where women lead, where we lift each other up so that girls like me could follow in her footsteps. she showed us strength and grace, courage and collaboration. >> 1500 invited guests, including 30 members of congress, attended the private service outside san francisco city hall, where feinstein began her political career. the program interrupted several times with flyovers by the blue angels practicing for fleet week. ironically an event founded by feinstein. >> thank you, mayor feinstein, for bringing the blue angels to san francisco in 1981 on in an audio message, president joe biden praising feinstein's longtime career. >> she turned passion into purpose to lead the fight to ban

>> abc seven news reporter suzannephan joins us live with more on that. suzanne so whether or not they had an invitation, so many people wanted to be here in person today to celebrate the life and the legacy of senator dianne dianne feinstein. >> now, so many of them told me that they wanted to be here and also to celebrate her. and they also say this is a symbolic day that they didn't want to miss. governor gavin newsom and his wife among the many people who turned out to san francisco city hall today to remember senator dianne feinstein here in san francisco, the city that launched her career as a political leader. senator feinstein was honored and celebrated. noah griffin was senator feinstein, second administrative aide back in 1974. he says he learned a hard lesson thanks to feinstein. >> my wife said to dianne, i said, i understand you helped my husband grow up. yes, i did. and he certainly needed it. >> griffin attended today's memorial service. a nice remembrance, a celebration of life. >> i'm sad that these things couldn't have been said for

>> a lot of people, attendees took off their jackets. it was so hot out there. a heat advisory is in effect for some parts of the bay area. here's a live look outside at the conditions. gorgeous day but warm for details, let's go to abc7 news meteorologist sandhya patel. sandy yeah. >> dan those temperatures soared and when you take a look at these live pictures, you will see that it was absolutely sunny from coast to inland and it still is right now offshore flow bringing us the heat today. >> right now we do have many areas in the 90s, 81 degrees in half moon bay where the sea breeze is coming in. it was in the 90s earlier today. we do have a heat advisory until 11 p.m. tomorrow. so above average temperatures bringing a moderate to high risk of heat illnesses in those areas shaded in orange, which includes san francisco, the bay shoreline, santa cruz mountains and santa clara valley. so take it easy out there as we go, hour by hour, 6:00 tonight. still pretty warm by 8 p.m, those temperatures begin to drop. and as we head towards tomorrow morning, it'll be more comfortable with

prior to our arrival, the suspect fled from the location in a vehicle and was later located by ucpd officers. responding to the call. the suspect did not stop and a pursuit was initiated. the suspect. the suspect began driving erratically and officers eventually lost sight of the vehicle. after some some time later, the suspect vehicle was located in the city of mountain view. and with the help of mountain view pd, mr. hernandez was located and arrested and abc seven news reporter zach fuentes is at the news conference. >> he will have an update for us at 6:00. >> in san francisco, police have made an arrest in the deadly beating of a beloved corner store clerk and as abc seven news reporter tara campbell explains, this arrest means some relief for a shaken community. >> we're here this morning to

announce the arrests in the august 24th homicide of johannes , called the beloved corner store clerk, better known as john in the richmond district, dying days after being brutally beaten during a robbery in late august. through the course of our investigation, we identified 22 year old santos de la rosa of hollister, california, as a person of interest in this case. >> investigators closing in on de la rosa wednesday, making an arrest on october 4th. >> we received information about mr. de la rosa's whereabouts and traveled to hollister, california, where we placed him under arrest. >> san francisco district attorney brooke jenkins announcing the charges, which include murder in violation of penal code 187 robbery, as well as assault with a deadly weapon that resulted in the death of mr. tibaldi, offering some peace of mind for richmond district residents. >> a lot of it has been fear, a lot of it has been anger and frustration as to finding this

has actually hit a record. we'll get the official temperature in just a few minutes. so from our sfo camera, we are seeing nothing but clear skies. but you notice the breeze is coming in low to mid 90s from novato to santa rosa. it's in the mid 90s for fairfield, napa, 92 concord 90 degrees in livermore. high pressure in control of our weather. the winds are coming off the land blowing towards the coast today and that's what brought the heat as we get heating from compression, the winds flow down the mountaintops as we look at fleet week festivities, here's a look at the forecast. it's going to be a warm fall day tomorrow. upper 80s here in san francisco. fine flying weather on saturday, but those temperatures do come down and it's the cooler day on sunday with the fog rolling in. as we look at a live picture from our sutro tower camera, it is a bright view, warm to hot again tomorrow. possibility of a few records, fog returns and relief arrives this upcoming weekend. so tonight at 6:00, it's still going to be warm across the region as we head

into 8 p.m. temperatures coming down into the 60s, 70s. tomorrow morning, we will have a mild start. and then tomorrow, by early afternoon, many areas are already in the 80s and the 90s. here is a look at those temperatures first thing in the morning, under clear skies, upper 50s around places like half moon bay, mid 60s and antioch. so it will be a clear start as we head into the afternoon. temperatures will once again soar in the south bay, 98 degrees in morgan hill, 96 in san jose on the peninsula to find a way to beat the heat because it's definitely going to be well above average. again, los altos, 92 degrees, 89 in millbrae, 87, half moon bay, downtown san francisco, 88 degrees, 85. in daly city in the north bay. those temperatures will be in the mid 90s for places like san rafael, santa rosa, 93 and napa heading into the east bay 89, berkeley, 90 degrees in oakland. inland areas will be on the hot side, 97 degrees there in concord, 96. pleasanton, 98. in fairfield. i
