$11,000 fine. the drownings of two toddlers and the injury of a third is forcing authorities to take a much closer look. good evening. thank you for joining us. >> i'm dan ashley and i'm ahmad daetz, abc abc7 news south bay reporter lauren martinez spoke to one long time child safety advocate who has fought for extra safety protections at the state level and he says this new decision should be going many steps further. >> days following the devastating drowning of two toddlers at a home daycare pool, the state has suspended the operator's license following a hearing. the state may choose to revoke the license entirely. the department of social services may also prohibit the operators from working at any facility licensed by the state. the two licensees are facing $11,000 in civil penalties. >> it takes a village to help a child and protect a child and it takes a village to harm one. >> for the past four years, doug forbes has delved into drowning prevention and camp safety. in

maneuver called the diamond 360, a fog can always be a factor, of course, in the bay area, in order to fly the blue angels need at least three nautical miles of visibility and the cloud ceiling has to be at least 1300ft. so some precise requirements there. truly remarkable pilots and the pride of the us navy. and i've had the privilege to fly with them. and i can tell you it was an intense and awe inspiring experience. here's a picture of me in the cockpit many years ago before we took off. this was in the late 80s as the crew chief made sure i was buckled in safely. moments later, we were just ripping through the sky and i got to do something ama that they don't often do with the media flights, which is break the sound barrier over the ocean, which was really cool. now the best part i actually had the stick and actually got to push it through to mach one. the speed of sound . it was really an unforgettable experience. >> and man, the g-forces right. >> oh, man. you know, you've heard it described as a giant weight on your chest. that's exactly what it feels like. and

as we roared down the runway after takeoff, the pilot literally turned straight up to go what they called the performance takeoff. and we pulled something like seven g's. that's more than the space shuttle on liftoff. it was incredible. but you feel this incredible pressure. >> yeah, they are an amazing team. they do such such great maneuvers. they really do. >> it's impressive. >> all right. well, of course, we're talking about the weather , the crowds, crowd ceiling. there are going to be crowds and you need to worry about the cloud ceiling. you know what i'm going for here? >> yeah. sandy patel is looking at how the friday and blue angels show is shaping up with her 24 hour accuweather forecast. andrea yeah, the weather is going to match the incredible maneuvers that they do. >> dan and ama. let's take a look at the forecast for tomorrow as the air show gets underway. it was really cool watching the practice rounds today. tomorrow morning, 73 degrees. the air show is 10 to 4, 1:00 in the afternoon. it's going to be fine. flying weather with unlimited visibility. i mean, we're talking upper 80s by 4 p.m. so it's going to be warm . make sure you have your shades

our emeryville camera, we are looking back towards san francisco. and here's a look at the high temperatures for tomorrow versus the old records. so half moon bay expected to hit 87 degrees. if it does do that, it would be a tie set back in 1972. san jose's high temperature, 96 would surpass the old record of 95. so we shall see if it materialize as high pressure in control of the weather with offshore flow. the downsloping winds that we typically see in october, we'll get another warm to hot one. and that means for fleet week as well. so warm fall day for your friday upper 80s as the blue angels take to the skies. i mean, really just going to be fine flying weather saturday sunshine but cooler and you will notice air show on sunday there will be some fog with the temperature dropping off even more. as we take a look at the numbers right now, well, they're not dropping off a whole lot, but it is cooler than where we were. 60s and 70s. a live view from our sutro tower camera looking at downtown san francisco. warm to hot weather again tomorrow. possibility of a few records cooler at the coast

saturday and all areas will cool on sunday. so tomorrow morning when you get going, you may think i don't need that extra layer because it is so mild out there. we get that mild start, it's going to warm up quickly. tomorrow afternoon in the south bay, 96, in san jose, 99 in gilroy, you're going to feel that heat on the peninsula, 96 in redwood city, 87, as i mentioned, in half moon bay, downtown san francisco, upper 80s, well above average for this time of year. south city, 89 and the north bay mid 90s from san rafael to santa rosa, 94 degrees in vallejo in the east bay. oakland 9094. castro valley head inland and it's going to feel like summer 97 degrees in concord 98 for you in fairfield, 96 in pleasanton in just as you get used to this idea temperature are going to come down over the weekend and then we'll have the opportunity for some rain monday afternoon into the wee hours of tuesday morning. there's another system that is going to brush the north bay following that on wednesday.
