cp3 nickname. tonight we got our first look at chris paul in game action with the warriors as they hosted the lakers in their preseason opener. time for our toyota. let's go places player of the day and warriors fans loved what they saw in cp3 paul's first shot as a warrior, the 11 foot jumper midrange is his specialty. he drains it. he finished with six points, then after kevon looney gets the rebound, of course, paul looking up the floor to find steph and of course, splash. he drains his first three of the season. a little later, they're going to hook up again. i think i'm going to like this. paul with five assists in just 13 minutes, funniest play of the game coming up here. the warriors swinging it around. jonathan kuminga finds the open man. it's steph, but he's not in the game. he's just standing on the sideline. oops. got to get curry the ball at all costs except when he's on the bench. big laughs all around and at the timeout curry says good eyes but my bad i shouldn't

retaliate and the palestinian health ministry says at least 230 palestinians were killed. israel defense forces said its troops are fighting in at least a half a dozen locations and at least 50 israelis were freed after being taken hostage by hamas. israel's political security cabinet met tonight with prime minister benjamin netanyahu, saying, quote, we are embarking on a long and difficult war. abc news reporter emma nguyen has president joe biden's response. this israeli defense forces have declared a state of alert for war following a surprise attack carried out by palestinian militant. >> the idf says at least 2200 rockets were fired towards israel, though hamas claimed at least 5000 rockets were fired, all landing in southern and central israel. emily schrader says she's an israeli american and captured this video of the aftermath. >> so this is very close to

where i live in tel aviv. you can see here where there was a direct hit. >> images on social media show heavily armed palestinian militants on motorbikes and pickup trucks crossing into israeli settlements. this video appears to show militants taking hostages in israel near the border with gaza. another video also appears to show a woman being taken hostage in gaza. israeli forces launching massive retaliatory airstrikes. this building collapsing, flames then lighting up the night sky in gaza as those israeli strikes continued. >> mashivka raion. >> israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu says israeli defense forces will immediately use all of its strength to destroy the capabilities of hamas. president biden spoke with netanyahu and has reaffirmed us support for israel in this moment of tragedy. >> i want to say to them and to the world and to terrorists everywhere that the united states stands with israel, we'll make sure that they have the help their citizens need and

deep dive into the situation in the middle east on abc seven news at 11. reporter tara campbell hears from an expert from uc san francisco who describes the palestinian attack as the most significant military move in its history and breaks down what could come next. new developments. two people are now dead after a shooting in richmond last night. detectives are investigating the incident that happened outside a smoke shop near the corner of 23rd street. and esmond avenue. officers arrived on the scene just before 8 p.m. to find three people shot. one died at the scene and another later at the hospital. the last victim is still being treated. well, did you hear it? did you feel it? the roar of the blue angels dazzling residents and spectators over san francisco's waterfront for the fleet week air show. it was a perfect fog free day for flying, but it was hot. abc7 news reporter cornell bernard has a look at how people

80 in livermore. and one more live view from our rooftop camera looking across the embarcadero. check out our forecast headlines. cooler at the coast tomorrow, but still hot inland for one more day. clouds increase on monday and tuesday with a chance of showers late monday into tuesday. and of course, we can expect a much cooler pattern early next week. for tonight, it cools you down in some spots, especially near the coast, where lows will drop into the mid 50s up in the north bay will see mid to upper 50s. but over in the inland east bay, it'll still be mild to maybe even uncomfortably warm with low temperatures in the mid to upper 60s and low 60s down in the south bay. highs tomorrow 65 at half moon bay, 70in san francisco, oakland 75. most locations around the bay shoreline will have highs in the mid to upper 70s inland areas in the east bay, especially upper 90. upper 80s rather to about 90 degrees 91 expected at fairfield . most other inland locations will see highs in the upper 80s and for blue angels viewing tomorrow here in san francisco, another day of mainly sunny
