shock and mourning that's happening right now, some soul searching. >> we're trying to figure out where we go from here. >> tyler gregory, the ceo of the bay area jewish community relations council, says members of his group are still processing the fighting overseas as he is calling for members of the public interested in supporting lives impacted by the conflict. to donate to the jewish federation and nonprofits helping with relief abroad. >> there are international efforts supporting humanitarian needs on the ground from supporting medical responses to broken families. >> he is not the only organization calling for a peaceful solution. the coalition for american-islamic relations tells abc seven news it is encouraging anyone interested in supporting palestine to donate to islamic relief usa. in a statement, kerry is calling on us and arab governments to exert maximum pressure on the israeli government to honor their obligate actions under international law to respect palestine human rights and end the occupation. we reached out to other arab community groups in the bay area to see if they are helping with humanitarian efforts. we're waiting to hear

our david muir will be reporting and anchoring world news tonight from israel starting tomorrow so you can catch him at 330 right after getting answers on abc seven. well what a difference a day or two can make. we have been talking about heat and now there is rain in the forecast. let's get right to spencer christian for a first look at your weather. okay j.r. here's your day planner for tomorrow. >> of course, we know that it has cooled down sharply since yesterday. so the heat has gone. the cooling is here and there's a little bit of rain on the way as well. early tomorrow morning we'll see cloudy skies with some light rain beginning to develop over the north bay. temperatures will be ranging from about 58 at the coast to 62 inland later in the day around midday or so. we'll see more widely scattered showers. but there may be a few downpours, mainly in the north bay. this is mainly a north bay event. temperatures around midday will only be in the mid to upper 60s from the bay to inland. later in the afternoon, there'll be some partial clearing as those showers sweep

luis angel gathered in hood river, oregon in they did a paddle out and also left flowers in the water in memory of him. they say hood river was where ndeye spent many of his summers. we have some video of him from several years ago. he was last seen by friends about 100ft offshore. and they say he was attacked by a shark. but officials have not yet confirmed that. developing news, tourists are returning to west maui during a phased reopening while fires devastated lahaina back in august and claimed at least 97 lives. some residents signed a

petition to delay the reopening as families continue to struggle to recover. one food truck owner says business traffic is down dramatically and now they're just trying to survive five probably from like 800 to 1000 people a night between, you know, tourists and local people . >> and right now, we have about 20, maybe 30, the most. we just need to keep moving forward. i understand a lot of people are having issues with opening, but we need to survive. it's the only way the hawaii tourism authority says tourism is the number one driver of that state's economy. >> a push to use cannabis to help revitalize california's struggling downtowns went up in smoke this weekend. the governor vetoed the measure to allow amsterdam style cannabis cafes in california. the san francisco assembly member, matt haney, authored the legislation. it would have let local governments license cannabis

vetoed the bill out of concern that it coul smoke free workplae protections. as governor. newsom also vetoed a bill that would have capped the price. insurance companies can charge for insulin at $35 for a 30 day supply. tsay newsom did say earlier this year that california has a contract with a pharmaceutical company and will start making its brand . the governor did point to this when announcing his veto attorney general rob bonta sued over the price of insulin in january and manufacturers responded by saying they'd lower the price if you didn't see it. and you were anywhere near san francisco this weekend, you most likely heard it. the roar of the blue angels who wrapped up their three day air show today. here are some of the highlights.

locations across the bay area are anywhere from nine to about 14 degrees cooler right now than at this time last night. moving along, we'll take a live view from our exploratorium camera looking toward the bay bridge. and these are our current temperature readings. it is 55 in san francisco, oakland, 57, mountain view, 59, 61, san jose, 59 at palo alto, 57 at half moon bay. and the view now from emeryville on a calm and quiet night. other temperature readings at this hour are 54 degrees in santa rosa. novato, 52, mid 50s at napa. well, upper 50s actually at fairfield and livermore concord at 62 degrees. that's our mildest reading at the moment. and as we look across the embarcadero from our rooftop camera, let's take a look at our forecast headlines and here they are, much cooler weather will be with us for the next few days. a light rain and or showers will fall tomorrow, possibly a few lingering into early tuesday morning. we can expect drier and warmer weather developing by midweek. the approaching storm, such as it is, ranks level one on the

exclusive abc7 storm impact scale. a storm of light intensity. so for tomorrow look for periods of light rain or showers mainly a north bay event that will be the wettest region of the bay area with rainfall totals generally only a few hundredths of an inch forecast animation taking us into the overnight hours shows some light showers developing in the north bay by about 6 or 7 a.m. they'll become more widespread and a little bit heavier by late morning around 11 11:30 a.m. and then as that system sweeps southward and eastward, it'll weaken and the intensity of the rainfall will diminish as well. as we get into the evening hours tomorrow, the rain will be just about over, except for a few widely scattered light showers. rainfall totals by tuesday night at 11. again just a few hundredths of an inch, except maybe up at ukiah, where it's possible that over a 10th of an inch will fall high temperatures tomorrow will be mainly in the mid 60s on the coast. we'll see upper 60s to around 70 degrees around the bay shoreline and inland areas will not warm up

this parade has been an annual delight since, get this 1869 people had a chance to watch the floats, music and performance from fisherman's wharf to washington square park. saints peter and paul school also hosted a bazaar with barbecue rides and games. i was there saturday and the kids sure did have fun. it's also a chance to support italian businesses and groups in in north beach, and we joined right now by spencer christian spencer i will say once my godson realized that there was kids jousting there, we weren't about to go anywhere. and the weather was picture perfect for it. yeah the weather was great. >> j.r certainly was. i'm glad your godson enjoyed it. now the rain is coming. i hope he'll enjoy that. the storm approaching us is a light one.

it ranks only level one on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale. so for tomorrow, beginning in the early morning hours, we expect light rain and or showers mainly in north bay event that'll be the wettest region of the bay area. rainfall totals will be just a few hundredths of an inch. so on we go to the forecast animation just after midnight showing the arrival of some clouds. first and then some light spotty showers up in the north bay in the early morning hours becoming more widespread and of greater intensity. by midday, but then tapering off quickly in the afternoon hours as the system moves southward and eastward, it will weaken and the rainfall intensity will also will also taper off. high temperatures tomorrow under mainly cloudy skies and a few showers here. and there will range from mid 60s at the coast up to about 70 degrees around the bay shoreline to mainly low 70s in our inland communities. and here's the accuweather seven day forecast. we may have a lingering shower or two early tuesday morning, but certainly by midday we expect at least partial clearing
