their first big signature event today to collect enough sign offs to put a recall on the ballot. abc seven news reporter ryan curry shares more on why you may have someone knocking on your door in alameda county in the next few months. >> pens are out in oakland as volunteers and paid signature gatherers try to get alameda county residents to sign their name. they are putting together a petition to remove district attorney pamela price from office. >> people will know that it's time for us to start the recall. the group organizing the recall is called save alameda for everyone. >> they are scrutinizing price for beliefs that she is being too lenient on crime and ignoring victims and their families. >> the focus of the da's department is not to just set aside the families that have lost their loved ones. you have to work with these families in order to make a difference and to help other families. and we just have had enough of it. oakland in particular, has seen rising rates of property crime, victims of those crimes have told abc7 news they want those
