heavily armed man found dead at this amusement park. >> there is much more we do not know right now than we do know. >> a maintenance crew found the body of a 20 year old man inside the women's bathroom at glenwood caverns adventure park saturday. he had apparently entered the park before it opened. police say he was armed with an ar style rifle, a semiautomatic handgun and explosives wearing body armor and tactical clothing. police also say they found multiple improvised explosive devices in the man's vehicle. >> he was well intended to do something very heinous. again, why would you prep for that? and whatever he had intention. fortunately, he did not follow through with it. >> but investigators believe the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot, not carrying out whatever plans he may have had, given the preparation, given the amount of weapons and the amount of ordnance he had, it almost seemed very highly likely that he intended to use those against the community. >> he chose not to. >> authorities searched the rest of the park, including the rides

for other explosives, but found none. the weapons found on the man were ghost guns, which do not have serial numbers and therefore they cannot be traced. overnight, police identified that man as diego barajas. medina from the nearby town of carbondale. they say he had no criminal history. >> new details overnight about the missed warning signs before the mass shootings in maine last week. documents show the family of gunman robert card contacted the sheriff's office back in may over concerns about his mental health and his access to guns as an army reservist. then in september, the army reserves requested a welfare check on card after another soldier expressed concern that card wanted to commit a mass shooting. the documents show the army reserves wanted to err on the side of caution with regards to cards, since he is a capable marksman in the sheriff's office conducted the welfare check, but card wasn't home. that's when an alert was sent to local authorities. that alert was canceled earlier this month after police spoke with his family. 18 people died in last week's mass shooting. the

sheriff now says that the office will evaluate its policies and procedures. >> overseas, we are now seeing more of the hostage is being held by hamas in gaza after the militant group released a new video. another hostage has also been rescued. comes as israel expands its ground incursion deeper into gaza. prime minister benjamin netanyahu is rejecting calls for a cease fire. up to 600 american citizens are believed to be trapped in gaza. and abc's justin finch is here now with more. justin, good morning. >> ryan and good morning. the israel defense forces identifying a newly freed hostage as an israeli captured october 7th as hamas wages terrorist attack on israel. the israeli government releasing new video of a heartfelt reunion showing israeli military private ori, now home with her family after clearing a medical examination. the israel defense forces say was rescued during an idf ground operation in gaza, where she was held captive for

more than three weeks in chicago , israeli american natalie raanan has returned home. she and her mother were among the first hamas hostages freed when we celebrating the return of natalie back to her home in chicago, we have to remember that there's still 239 hostage bodies in the hands of hamas in the gaza strip. on the war front , a relentless exchange of rocket fire between israel and hamas. israel rejecting calls for a cease fire just as the united states would not agree to a cease fire after the bombing of pearl harbor or after the terrorist attack of 911. >> israel will not agree to a cessation of hostilities with hamas. >> the white house supporting israel. >> but what we have said should be considered and explored are temporary, localized humanitarian pauses to allow aid across gaza civilian suffering. >> unicef reporting more than 400 children in gaza are killed

crow. crow has financed vacations and other gifts for justice clarence thomas. crow is calling the subpoena politically motivated. >> now to a lawsuit that seeks to keep former president trump off the ballot in 2024. those bringing the case argue that under the constitution, trump's conduct on january 6th, 2021 prohibits him from taking office again this morning, lawyers for former president trump appear confident they can beat an unprecedented lawsuit which could determine whether trump is ineligible to hold office again. >> their case is incredibly weak and they don't prove much of anything except they dislike him. that's really what they proved. >> a group of voters in colorado filed a lawsuit arguing trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election, leading to the january six riot at the capitol should prohibit him from becoming president again. trump incited a violent mob to attack our capitol to stop the peaceful transfer of power under our constitution. the lawsuit invokes the 14th amendment, written after the civil war,

aimed at people who fought for the confederacy, disqualifying anyone who engaged in insurrection or rebellion from serving in government to make their case. lawyers for the plaintiffs yesterday played trump's message to his supporters. >> on january 6th, we're going to walk down and i'll be there with you. >> but trump's lawyers argue the former president never called for violence and did not walk down to the capitol as he said he would. the best they have is trying to be a mini me january 6th report. >> that's the best they've got sort of a pretty slick movie production and that's not real evidence. that's a partizan witch hunt. >> the lawsuit is one of several trying to remove trump from the ballot under the 14th amendment. a case in minnesota is set to begin thursday. other lawsuits are filed in new hampshire and michigan. >> ultimately, the issue seems destined for the us supreme court, with its conservative majority. though in the past, that's not necessarily been a guarantee of rulings in favor of donald trump. >> the hearing in colorado is expected to wrap up on friday. a

mexico's southern border yesterday. >> now to mississippi and one family demanding justice after a man was allegedly killed in a police crash. he was then buried without his family being notified. here's abc's lionel moise with more. >> justice for dexter wade. >> this morning, the family of dexter wade is demanding answers . the 37 year old was allegedly hit and killed by a jackson, mississippi, police patrol car back in march and was buried without his family being notified. only this poll and the number 670 to mark his grave. >> he was my only son and i will never thought this had happened to him. >> wade's mother says she reported him missing on march 14th, but she says it wasn't until five months later that she was told he was hit and killed by an off duty officer. as he was walking across a highway. >> they could have came in, knocked on the door. >> family attorney ben crump says the coroner's office

identified wade using fingerprints and alerted jackson police four days after wade's death. the coroner also found wade's name on a pill bottle in his pocket. but the mayor says when police contacted the medical provider, they were given a contact number that was not accurate. but crump says the coroner contacted jackson police seven times between march and june to inquire if wade's family had been notified that he was in the morgue. the family now speculating whether a previous case involving wade's uncle played a role in how police handled wade's death. wade's uncle was killed in 2019 after prosecutor say he was assaulted and body slammed by jackson police officers. one officer was convicted in that case. what other reason would you think that we go through six months and they don't tell me who my son is? >> is it is it hard? >> jackson police denied our request for comment. the local district attorney is investigating the delay in
