534. elsewhere though, looking at our drive times, tracy to dublin, it's dropped a little bit. you're around 50 minutes. the biggest issue we're looking at right now is going to be an oakland due to a crash that has now turned into a car fire and now the chp is reporting many explosions within that fire. injuries have been reported here on westbound 980 before 27 street. the off ramp there. so that will be blocked partially and then we will end here with a live look in san jose showing off a clear 101. reggie thanks jobina. >> a sudden shakeup for san francisco based robotaxi company cruise. their ceo announced that he is resigning. abc's seven news reporter ryan curry joins us live in san francisco with more on that huge announcement. ryan >> yeah, reggie, good morning. the ceo vote stepping down now spells further doubt about the future of the company. he says right now he wants to focus on family right now. but right as we're speaking, the question marks surrounding cruise about what they go from here are really concerning. on his post on social media vote says he

still thinks cruise has a bright future. he reportedly apologized to employees over the weekend for allowing the company to veer off course votes say cruise began as a startup in his garage around ten years ago as the company expanded their av software hit several missteps. the dmv suspended cruise is self-driving permit following the incident where a pedestrian was pinned beneath one of their cars after they were hit by a human driven car. last week, cruises parent company general motors pulled their cars off the road across the country. the ceo, mary barra, thanked vote for his vision in the new york times. she said public trust is essential to this as we work to rebuild that trust, safety, transparency and accountability will be our north stars vote says he still views autonomous vehicles as the future when it comes to driving on the road. but without a ceo. and with all the history that cruise has experienced over the last few months, there are questions

real user experience science to undermine freedom of speech and mislead advertisers. restrictions on speech have been loosened on x since musk bought the platform last year and formerly banned accounts have been reinstated. their kumasi. >> thanks jobina. this morning, tributes are still coming in for former first lady rosalynn carter. she died yesterday at her home in plains, georgia. she was married to former president jimmy carter for 77 years and devoted her life to improving the lives of others. she was a strong voice for early childhood immunization, human rights and mental health. and one of the last interviews that the carters did together in summer of 2021, they were celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary. >> president carter, you say often that marrying mrs. carter was the pinnacle of your life more than any president. tsay oh, yes. >> that was the most important thing in my life, having rosalynn say, okay, finally and

down hundreds of trees. we don't know if anyone was hurt during this storm. >> 611 this morning. it's quite a different story back here at home. we do expect pretty nice conditions over the next several days. you do have a wind advisory in effect until 9 a.m. in our hills where it is gusty but close to the surface. the winds are pretty light, 40s and 50s. those are your starting numbers as we get your monday underway here. our by hour on future weather. we expect a lot of sunshine today. temperatures in the low 60s by about 11 a.m. and then further warming this afternoon. 60s and low 70s for your daytime highs. so pretty close to where we should be for this time of the year. 66, the high in palo alto, 67 in richmond. we'll hit 70 in san jose, 73 in santa rosa, 66. in concord. the same in san francisco, 68. the high in san mateo. now the three day forecast showing you it is nice if you have to travel around the state the next couple of days, a little bit warmer headed our way by wednesday with those temperatures in the 60 and 70s.

build ski homes and a hotel. >> new overnight pop star shakira accepted a last minute plea deal in her tax fraud case. the singer was supposed to go on trial today in spain for tax evasion. shakira admitted that she failed to pay $16 million in taxes. the spanish government agreed to a three year suspended sentence and a $7 million fine. the grammy award winner was accused of not paying her income taxes between 2012 and 2014, when she repeatedly denied the allegations, assisting insisting that she didn't live in the country at the time. >> this morning, we're getting a closer look at a new record breaking roller coaster that is set to open in saudi arabia. now this is the flight animation for the falcon flight roller coaster at six flags. it's going to send riders more than 150 miles an hour speeding off of a 640 foot uh. >> that's the part, cliff. that's why it's a no for me. >> it's a no. this is the tall,

california highway patrol says around 1030 last night a rental zipcar crashed into another vehicle south of the lincoln avenue exit. the zipcar became disabled. the other car drove away. so two people on the zipcar get out and one of them gets hit and killed by a car that swerved to avoid the zipcar . that car also took off. the driver of the zipcar wasn't injured and investigators have not released any information about the cars that left that crash. it's been nine years since then. san francisco mayor ed lee helped launch vision zero. sf now the city seems farther than ever from reaching its goal of zero traffic deaths next year. local and state lawmakers were in attendance for the ninth annual world day of remembrance in san francisco over the weekend. organizers with walk sf say the city has accumulated at least 22 traffic related fatalities this year. more people are hopeful that city leaders invest in making physical changes to the infrastructure at dangerous

intersections across the city. we spoke to richard zeeman, whose son andrew, died in a pedestrian crash in 2021, just slowing down the speeds, you know, andrew was killed in a school zone and there was no reason anyone should have been driving that fast through a school zone. >> and i don't even think that person was driving faster than the flow of traffic. they were all speeding. >> you know, that should never have happened. >> victim family members say they're upset about accountability. >> city saying that in some cases the people arrested for traffic fatalities only get what they call a slap on the wrist in the east bay. >> major changes coming in hopes of reshaping one of alameda county's most dangerous corridors, according to our media partners at the east bay times, berkeley is now the last city to sign off on the san pablo avenue corridor project, a large scale reimagining of the stretch from oakland to albany. now the project will add curb extensions to make it easier to get on a bus lighting signals, ada ramps flashing beacons and

israel allowing more aid into gaza. and talks are continuing about the length of the cease fire that would be imposed. israel's military says this video shows hostage is being rushed into gaza's largest hospital on october seventh. that's when hamas militants attacked israeli border towns, triggering the war. according to reports, a group of men dragged someone into al-shifa hospital. hamas previously said it took some hostages to hospitals for treatment, but israel says the group used a network of tunnels under al-shifa for military purposes to hide hostages. israel's military also revealed this video from a drone entering what it claims is a hamas tunnel. 30ft below the medical complex. the world health organization has described the hospital as a, quote, death zone. nine in premature babies reportedly died after being removed from incubators when electricity ran out. but yesterday, 31 babies were evacuated to a hospital in
