6:10 pm
the good news, no reports of major delays at any of the bay area's major airports. that's an estimated 182 million people are shopping in store and online from thanksgiving day through tomorrow. cyber monday, you can score deals, but it's also a time you should be extra vigilant online. according to cyber security firm trend micro, california sees 24% of all black friday scams nationwide. abc7 stephanie sierra spoke to the company's vice president of threat intelligence. >> your company also has a warning about free shipping on some black friday sites. what can you tell us about that? >> yeah, shipping scams are big, so a lot of times they'll either offer free shipping or what more likely will happen is you'll get a text message from one of the carriers saying your your item needs to be is in the warehouse, but it needs a checking. so they ask you to log in and give your email address and some other personal information and that's how they get your data. and then
6:11 pm
they can use use that to do, you know, any types of scams against you. >> your company has also listed a number of examples of sites selling merchandise and even liquor. one of them, hard daddy is unaccredited with the better business bureau and currently has an f rating. what do you know about this site? >> yeah, this is what most consumers are going to have to deal with. stephanie hard daddy is one that looks very real in the pictures that they pose. are actual pictures from other sites that are selling the actual product. and so when you pick a pick a product, you go through the same all the same processes. you go through the checkout, they try to take all of your information. they'll ask for your name, phone number, address, credit card information , and then they just scam you. sometimes you might get a product that's a knockoff of what you thought you were buying, or could they just don't even ship anything or they ship something that's not even related to what you bought. and if you try to contact them, there's nowhere to get any
6:12 pm
information about how to contact them. so it's really a big scam site. and this is the type of sites we see all over the web now. yeah so frustrating. >> and it can certainly be hard to tell. and it's not just those merchandise sites, but with travel tuesday coming up, consumers often rely on companies like booking.com or airbnb to schedule travel and hotel accommodations. what advice do you have for those who are planning ahead? >> yeah, i think first and foremost, go to those sites directly. don't use click a link on an email or a or a text message that you receive. in many cases, these these text messages or emails are going to take you to a fraudulent site that looks exactly like airbnb or booking.com. and again, what they're trying to do is take take information from you. have you enter information. sometimes it's to get if you have an account with those companies, they want to get your account so that they can take over your account and do things with that as well. >> we understand your company's data shows california gets the most icloud phishing scams. what
6:13 pm
are some examples of that and why do you think that is? >> and the scammers want that data. they want to steal that data. so what they end up doing is, again, they they they will send you a text message that says, hey, your icloud is full to add more, you know, click here. and again, it takes you to a login page. so it's trying to get your login credentials for your icloud account and then they can use that or they can get into it and steal a lot of the data that you've been putting into those icloud accounts. >> that was abc7, stephanie sierra reporting. now another tip is you can bookmark all of the sites you tend to shop and then go to those websites directly. still ahead tonight, some artists who are proving they know how to adapt the talent behind some very special christmas cards and what makes their work more impressive than just their art skills. and once again, taking a live look outside, this is the bay bridge, which definitely does have some traffic on it tonight. more chilly overnight temperatures to

6:18 pm
it's getting a bit chilly out there. and that friendly high pressure system you see there on the satellite radar image, which has brought us some pretty calm weather the last few days, is weakening now, giving way to an advance of, let's say, unsettled weather that probably will produce some rainfall here during the week. right now, though, we have calm wind at the surface and with clear skies. that combination means temperatures will be dropping rapidly during the evening hours. here's the view from sutro tower looking out over san francisco, 58 degrees here in the city right now. mid to upper 50s. also at oakland, mountain view, san jose, half moon bay, palo alto down to 48. and the view from the mt. tam camera is a clear one because the skies are mainly clear at the moment, although we'll probably see some high clouds overnight. it's 52 right now at santa rosa and napa. we have upper 40s at novato, concord, livermore, fairfield down to 42. and one more live view from our rooftop camera looking across the embarcadero here are the forecast headlines. frost and freezing will develop inland again overnight. mostly sunny tomorrow and seasonably cool i

the south bay where we'll see 70 degrees at san jose, 69 at morgan hill. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so after a dry day tomorrow, chance of some rain late tuesday night. then on wednesday on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale, we expect a level one storm bringing rainy and cool weather, maybe some lingering showers on thursday. friday unsettled fillled, partly cloudy and perhaps another wave of rain coming in next saturday. >> now abc seven sports with chris alvarez. >> the last time we saw draymond green on the basketball court this happened right behind me. now the warriors forward got mixed up in an altercation with center rudy gobert, the chokehold got him an automatic ejection in that game and a five game suspension, which he's now served. and he's going to be back in the lineup tuesday night in the ncaa tournament game in sacramento. now, the warriors went two and three without draymond during that span, steve kerr told reporters today green will not have a minutes restriction since he's not coming off an injury. we'll wait and see how much he actually ends up playing or if he starts
6:21 pm
speaking for the first time since the suspension, green says he's always going to come and have his teammates back. >> anytime there's a situation in two and a teammate needs you to come to their defense, i'm going to come to their defense, you know, and that's just that, especially with someone that i've been playing with for 12 years, that's more than a teammate, that's a brother. i have to be on the court for my teammates. our chances of winning drops dramatically if i'm not out there. so i have to be better as one of the leaders of this group, you just got to find different ways and i think for me, that's the biggest lesson in all of it, is just like, yeah, you got to be there for your teammate, but you have to do it differently. >> all right. women's hoops today, stanford head coach tara vanderveer played her freshman year at albany. the number four cardinal facing that school for the first time ever this afternoon. cameron brink, a double double by halftime, 15 points and ten rebounds in just the half. cardinal hoops, sharp shooter that is hannah jump hitter 300 career three pointer finished the game with four triples and 16 total points third quarter in transition one
