she appointed to the senate while she was governor. >> of course, i was disappointed. he's got to live with that decision. i don't have to live with that decision. >> haley, scooping up support of her own while not officially endorsing any candidate. asa hutchinson, who has suspended his campaign, throwing his support behind haley in tuesday's primary, posting on x, saying anyone who believes donald trump will unite this country has been asleep over the last eight years, a win on tuesday could help fast track trump to a third gop presidential nomination, though polls show haley trailing close behind. i am voting 100% republican trump all the way. >> i think nikki is the right person who should hopefully be able to bridge the divide. >> meanwhile, governor ron desantis is already in south carolina weeks ahead of super tuesday, hoping to gain early ground as this thing turns. >> you know we're going to be in a good situation. >> as for the writing campaign for joe biden, a handful of volunteers and local officials gathered in the freezing cold to encourage voters to write in the

7:26 pm
and about two thirds the size of fairfield, ceo jan sramek explains. if passed by the voters, the new city expected to accommodate tens of thousands of people, promises 15,000 new jobs that pay at least 125% of the county average weekly wage. he says some of these jobs would be in advanced math featuring renewable energy and construction. the plan also commits to investing in green spaces, clean energy and protecting travis air force base. we want it to be a partner that can make the base stronger, ceramic says. he's locating this new community seen here in blue outside of travis noise and safety zones, which are colored in yellow. on this map and nearly doubling the current security buffer around travis, which is colored in green. on this map, we are permitting solar farms in that area, but we have expressly given travis a veto and an approval on the technology to be used in those solar farms, those solar farms, if built, would supply enough clean power to power the

equivalent of 1.5 million homes, sramek says. one of the largest stressors on travis is the cost of housing for military personnel. >> we would be building a community that provides affordable homes of all different types that particularly young families are having to. travis can afford california forever launched a series of financial assistance programs to help families and students with affordability. >> this includes $400 million for down payment assistance and $70 million for college scholarships. ships. >> we are proposing a connected network of complete neighborhood nodes. this would feature as gabe has mentioned, jobs, housing, retail, and all of the services from barbershops and cafes to grocery stores, health care providers, workspaces and public parks all within 5 to 10 minute walk. >> according to this map, the orange area would be the neighborhood mixed use zone, where there would be a mix of townhomes and apartments from 3 to 6 stories. the pink area would be the downtown zone, the darkest purple is the industry and technology zone. the light

purple would be a maker and manufacturing zone. >> the initiative commits to ten acres of open space per 1000 residents. >> but congressman john garamendi, who recently had a sit down meeting with schrameck, isn't sold on the plans. >> but basically what they want to do is to extend the urban sprawl from from the sunset district of san francisco all the way through solano county. come on guys, your. plan doesn't work. and by the way, where's the water? so where is the water? >> we have enough water for our new community. >> california forever says it's currently undergoing a water supply assessment and verification, both of these are regulated under state law and require us to prove that we have enough water for every home that we bring online. >> for the next 30 or 40 years. this includes drought conditions . >> bottom line is there's no more water. they have no real water plan. they don't have a bucket to hold water as far as transportation, the company says
7:29 pm
they plan on constructing a new double lane road off of highway 12. >> that would help divert traffic coming from i-80. >> those are rural roads. who's going to pay for that now, before any of this would move forward, voters have to approve it. >> in november, the initiative needs roughly 14,000 signatures to get on the ballot, and in order to pass, it needs just over 50% of the vote coming up. low temperatures, heavy snow and ice still ahead on abc seven mornings. the dangerous winter conditions we're seeing in other parts of the country right now. and here's a live look closer to home here in san francisco, atop our roof camera. looking at the bay bridge this morning, lisa will have an update on

playoff game, the most in nfl history. and this one was a classic, but not in the way you would expect. let's go to the highlights from saturday night. a cold and rainy night at levi's stadium. how would brock purdy and the guys respond after a bye week? well, they started slow and first quarter deebo samuel hit hard here. look like he maybe had a head injury. it ended up being a shoulder injury . they were working on him. he did not play after halftime. second quarter green bay up three. nothing and this is a huge stop early in the game. packers go on fourth down. they try to sneak it. they didn't get it kyle shanahan fired up about those results. the niners respond with a 12 play 86 yard drive. it's brock purdy rolling right. finding george kittle for the touchdown. the niners led 7 to 6 at the half. and you see deebo samuel is purdy is always fired up. deebo in street clothes midway through the third. now niners down 13 seven. and christian mccaffrey there he goes breaking loose breaking tackles and finding his way to the end zone 128. all purpose

picks in this game. niners faithful fired up nick bosa. he's all the 40 niners faithful. the niners hang on 2421. back to the nfc championship tip. >> that game just fell right off. you know pretty much the whole game until the end there. and so to be able to persevere through the adversity and to have mature guys on the team who can, you know, strap up and go out there and find a way to get a win at the end. it's a sign of a good team, even when you're playing bad. >> that's how you got to get it done. you know, we talk about it all the time, grimy wins. that's as grimy as it gets. i think that's going to help us going forward. knowing that it doesn't matter what what type of game it is, we can win any way we want it. >> you know, we've been thinking about it. it's been sort of in the back of our of our minds. like last year we had a team to do it. and, um, you know, we feel like obviously we didn't have a real opportunity at it after the quarterbacks got hurt in that game. so yeah, i think we're really excited for it. >> so up next for the 40 niners,
7:39 pm
either the bucs or the lions, the winner of that game will come to levi's next sunday for the nfc championship. and a chance to go to the super bowl. that is your look at sports. have a great sunday. let's send it back to you. >> we need that win next sunday. all right. the bills mafia is looking to fill the blank space in its stomach. the buffalo bills and their stadium food partners released new taylor swift inspired menu items. they've added the bad blood waffle fries and the karma quesadilla to the list. this is just in time for the division round matchup against the chiefs today, and it's unknown whether taylor will be there to watch her boyfriend travis kelce play against the bills. what do you think lisa? >> oh i got to say go bills i'm a western new york native so yeah. all right good morning everybody. we are looking at some wet weather that continues throughout the afternoon today. but the heavy rain coming in tonight for some nuisance flooding could see some shallow landslides. the ground is pretty saturated at higher elevations. the santa cruz mountains have picked up anywhere from an inch and a half an inch, and a third
7:40 pm
from mount diablo, and over an inch of rain mount tam so once again, we're going to see some heavy rain, but it's going to last longer. and as we look at live doppler seven right now, we have a break, a little bit of shower activity from healdsburg to guerneville. otherwise as you can see, just a few light showers over the hills of the east bay. we're in the mid 50s in hayward. you picked up about a third to a half of an inch of rain, so not a whole lot for most of us. but the upper elevations, the coastal hills and the north bay really getting nailed overnight tonight. but everyone's going to see the heavy rain and the gusty winds. so right now the winds are in the upper elevations from 20 to about 30 miles an hour. and we are looking at the scattered showers to increase throughout the afternoon in the north bay. but the morning hours pretty quiet. the evening hours will be looking at the downpours, the windy conditions, the chance of a thunderstorm and then by tomorrow, the possibility of that nuisance flooding and then things begin to calm down. later into monday, there's a look at the winds that we're expecting throughout the afternoon, mainly
7:41 pm
along the coast. breezy inside the bay, but once that front gets closer to 3040 mile an hour winds all the way down through santa cruz and big sur and the peninsula. so keep that in mind. good idea not to be out and about later on tonight. but as for the first part of the day, it's pretty quiet. look what happens by about 1:00 though. the north bay already getting wet and the heavier rain still staying up to the north throughout the afternoon. and then it all shifts to the south and east so you can see the band of oranges here, even some reds potentially. and this will take us right on through early early monday morning. and then we have that lag time afterwards where we're going to see the creeks and some of the streams rise, and it's going to take well on through monday afternoon for those to recede. so this is through sunday day. you can see how quickly the rainfall adds up in the north bay to over two inches, maybe three inches. and the rest of the bay, you're thinking not so much, right? but then we get into the heavy rain overnight for an additional half inch to three quarters of an
7:42 pm
inch, perhaps for the rest of the bay area. so we're concerned about that. heavy rain rates and the saturated soil in a short period of time, maybe 4 or 5 hours. we're still looking at some snow in the mountains, but not a lot of this has been wet. snow it's cold now, below freezing, and we're looking at another ten inches or so. so in donner, with four inches south lake. so highs today with mainly north bay rain, scattered showers 62 in fremont overnight tonight the heavy rain the possibility of some flooding, the chance of a thunderstorm, gusty winds, the accuweather seven day forecast at the level two system and then watching some of that flooding, perhaps some shallow landslides, maybe into your monday and then a break on tuesday and lighter rain late tuesday into wednesday , and looking pretty good for the rest of the week. so a lot of us have not seen a whole lot of rain, but it's the consecutive rain. and then we've had the breaks, which is the good news. but now comes the heavy stuff. tonight and a small break on tuesday. >> my gosh, it's like we get a break.
7:43 pm
