be thinking of. >> meanwhile, for that shooting, a motive is still being investigated. all right, a 13 hour standoff ended in washington, d.c. with a suspect in custody and 31 dogs being taken to safety. police say the suspect fired through a door yesterday morning when officers were trying to serve an arrest warrant for animal cruelty. three officers were shot and a fourth officer was also injured, authorities say. he continued firing sporadically until surrendering last night. further charges are pending. the dogs, meanwhile, are being cared for. >> a hearing is set for today for the fulton county da leading the georgia election interference case against former president trump. fani willis has acknowledged a personal relationship with a special prosecutor she hired trump and several other co-defendants say it's a conflict of interest. they want the judge to dismiss the indictment and disqualify willis from the case. meanwhile, trump is expected to be in new york today for a pretrial hearing in his hush money case, currently set to begin march 25th. >> the head of the house intelligence committee is sounding the alarm about a national security threat, ahead

of a briefing that was already scheduled for today. sources say it relates to russia's plans for a space deployed nuclear weapon. abc's mary bruce has more on that cryptic warning from the republican chairman of the house intelligence committee, sending shock waves through washington. >> congressman mike turner, demanding the white house declassify information and brief congress about what he called a serious national security threat. white house national security adviser jake sullivan baffled by the move since he had already scheduled a briefing with turner and other key congressional leaders. >> i am a bit surprised that congressman turner came out publicly today. >> we are learning the nature of the threat. two sources familiar with the intelligence say it involves russia wanting to put a nuclear weapon in space, a goal they have not yet accomplished. but russia's supposed intention is not to drop the weapon onto earth, but rather to possibly use it against satellites. it is very concerning and very sensitive, says one source. it is a big deal. the white house
