families for forgiveness, netanyahu blamed hamas for failing to negotiate in good faith. >> we're asked to make concessions. what message does this send to hamas? it says kill more hostages. >> and he pushed back when asked about biden's criticism, saying no one will preach to him on the issue. authorities say the six hostages were shot 1 or 2 days before they were found by israeli forces. in a new statement, hamas suggests it has a new policy of killing any hostages. israel tries to rescue, saying netanyahu's insistence on using military pressure instead of reaching a cease fire deal will mean the hostages will return to their families in coffins. hamas also releasing a prerecorded video of one of the hostages found over the weekend, eden yerushalmi saying she loves her family god, elohim and hamas. now vowing to release videos of the five other slain hostages. israelis have poured into the

streets in grief and anger, claiming the hostages could have been returned alive if a deal had been reached. one major sticking point netanyahu insists on controlling a corridor inside gaza along the egyptian border, which he says is used to smuggle weapons. but hamas wants a complete withdrawal of israeli troops. meanwhile, a new setback for israel the british government is now suspending some weapons sales to the israelis, citing humanitarian concerns. alison. >> all right. thank you. two u.s. marines were physically assaulted by a mob in turkey. the attack came during a port visit. a sack was placed over one marine's head as the crowd chanted, yankee go home! but they're both safe. safe now. 15 people arrested are members of a group that blames americans for the war in gaza. >> authorities are searching for three men missing after a boating accident in connecticut. the coast guard says nine people, four men and five women

were on the vessel when they hit a break wall on the connecticut river. reports say the missing men were not wearing life jackets. now to the presidential race. the election is 62 days away, but early voting begins soon and the candidates are focusing in on the economy. vice president kamala harris spent labor day on the campaign trail. hello pittsburgh. the president, biden and pennsylvania, their first joint campaign event since she became the nominee. >> are you ready to let kamala harris, our next president of the united states? >> supporting critical union voters. president biden called himself the most pro-labor president in history. kamala believes, as i do, the unions are the spine of this economy. harris made it clear she opposes the proposed takeover of u.s. steel by a japanese company. >> u.s. steel should remain american owned and american operated. and i will the back of america's steelworkers. >> and she attacked trump's

policies. >> remember, as president donald trump blocked overtime benefits for millions of workers. >> former president trump off the campaign trail, instead took to social media to attack harris on the economy, saying all americans are suffering during this holiday weekend. high gas prices, transportation costs are up and grocery prices are through the roof. trump touted his administration's work passing the usmca, a trade deal between the u.s. mexico and canada. and he's promising new trade deals and tariffs to protect american jobs. meanwhile, trump faces a new legal battle over the music played at his rallies. the late singer isaac hayes son is suing the trump campaign over the use of his father's 1966 classic, hold on, i'm coming. the campaign insists it has a licensing agreement. attorneys for beyonce. the foo fighters and celine dion have also requested the campaign stop using their songs. back in pennsylvania. early voting begins in less than two weeks in some areas. >> a software problem is being

blamed for delays at one of the busiest airports in the country. officials say the issue affected the radar at newark airport. they say it was not the result of a cyber attack. seattle's airport is seeing slow but steady recovery from last week's cyber attack, which knocked out computer systems, flight information and baggage claim. boards were still out over the weekend. >> trust me. god is with us. that's what the first police officer to reach san francisco 40 niners, rookie ricky ricky pearsall said as he lay on the street suffering from a gunshot wound. pearsall was able to get to an ambulance with the help of sergeant joel harris. she was nearby when pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery. her goals when she arrived stopped the bleeding and calm. his fears >> i used my right hand because this is my strong hand to seal the wound, because he was like, am i? am i going to die? and i told him, i go, remember, you're going to be okay. you're strong. right? because i had told him out there, be strong like you are on the field. we made a

promise to fulfill our duty. and you know, i have 32 years of service, 25 years with sfpd, and i'm still going, and i'm ready to continue to go. >> meanwhile, pearsall is out of the hospital, but he'll miss at least four games this season. >> now to a potentially groundbreaking legal case involving a deadly car crash in michigan. the victim's family is trying to hold the teen driver's mother responsible. and now, new video evidence has come to ligh. new video shows a michigan teenager behind the wheel driving nearly 140mph days before he allegedly crashed into a tree, killing his passenger. abc news obtained multiple videos taken by the teen driver showing him repeatedly driving well over the speed limit. police say that driver just 16 at the time, was going over 100mph. last november, when he crashed and killed his friend flynn mackerel. >> we feel like our life ended.

our family was destroyed and we're trying to pick up the pieces. >> the driver has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder, but mackerel family also wants authorities to charge the teen driver's mother, saying she knew her son drove recklessly and didn't do enough to stop it. investigators say the teen had life360 on his phone, an app that shows how fast the car is going. they say his mother repeatedly texted him in the weeks before the crash to stop speeding, at one point allegedly saying i have screenshots of you driving 123mph. >> she knew and she failed to take reasonable care. i will never stop fighting for my son's wrongful, preventable death. >> the prosecutor's office says it's reviewing the mackerel case. >> time now for your tuesday weather. more heavy rain and flash flooding is expected across central texas today. downpours turn roads into rivers. yesterday, some areas
